The Ready or Not entrance from Scott Hall was top tier! it always amazes me how ECW fans acted like they were so above the stuff in WCW or WWE but popped when guys like Sid and Scott Hall showed up, just out here frontin. Yeah I don't trust his word whatsoever in general lol one thing I noticed with this specific situation though is the other two versions of the story are shorter, to the point, and more realistic. When someone is lying, they will ramble to try to make the explanation seem more detailed and therefor impossible to be a lie. Like you said he's too focused on putting himself over as some kind of locker room leader tough guy.

Here's a bonus, I believe this happened before the Big Sal/Justin Credible matches. Earlier in the day, Big Sal and Bill Wiles ate at a Denny's, and took a handful of toothpicks. They orchestrated a rib, where they handed out the toothpicks to everyone else, and would put the toothpicks in their mouths as Scott came in. Everyone now a toothpick in mouth, would greet Scott with a "Hey, yo!" and throw the toothpick at him.

Even if it went down exactly how Douglas says, I don't think his version of this makes him look good. You have Douglas, who has build up all this rage and jealousy and held onto it for years, trying to goad the much more successful Hall into a fight. Hall tries to be friendly, and then when met with insults, doesn't care enough about what Douglas thinks to even respond verbally, much less physically. He just left. He had nothing to prove to Shane Douglas of all people. I don't know exactly what happened that night, but even in Douglas' telling of events, he gets emasculated.

21:10 Scott got arrested later that month for DUI in Florida so that probably had something to do with it. As for Shane and Francine, they said similar things in older shoot interviews. The first time I heard about Scott's late 90s visit was from Shane on the Forever Hardcore DVD and Francine's side was on both of her solo shoot interviews with Ring of Honor (back when booker Gabe Sapolsky was hosting the early ones) and RF Video (with Rob Feinstein hosting it).

@@MrJadePinwheelIt just sounds like Shane was putting himself and his gimmicks over once again. Maybe it was true and Scott did say that, but it’s hard to believe Shane when he constantly makes himself out to be this main event wrestler who was held back, instead of just the average wrestler he was. He also stretches the truth constantly, twisting stories or adding in narratives that make him look like the good guy. So the fact that people don’t believe much of anything Shane says, is nobody but Shane’s fault.

Damn. Sweet intro. Easily one of the best Scott Hall ( R.I.P. ) vids made online. Great memories from those ECW stills. Taz & The Steiner Bros. could have been the original Hurt Business. Shane is Shane, but some of his story sounds embellished; particularly saying he lifted Scott's chin up/ punking him out in front of the boys. Friend or foe, being in front of Bigelow ( R.I.P. ) must have been something else. Bammer & Perry Satullo ( Saturn ) would have been an intimidating tag team

When sober/alert/ on his game, Scott Hall as a single star was great enough in the ring and on the mike, that he didn't need a world title to be relevant for the fans! Same with later career Undertaker.

Exactly. Drunk, High or sober everyone can agree Scott Hall ain't no pussy. Even with his issues going out of control. He ask for help to get better, pussy who run away don't do that. Shane is a mark for himself.

@@scotthalvorson1161 Shane Douglas has been in zero real life fights, Scott was a bouncer and would have gone back to bouncing had wrestling not worked out. quiet, mark.

@@h445 Lol first you dont know that. Secondly bouncers are usually fat shlubs who couldnt fight their way out of a paper bag so thats not really anything to brag about nor is it tough to shoot someone lol. So like I said physically theyre pretty similar otherwise we have no idea who would win in a fight. So be quiet Razor Ramon mark

Shane Douglas would’ve never kicked Scott Hall ass plain and simple. It’s ironic how it goes full circle , they were mad at Scott for being in click and costing them jobs etc , but when Hall comes to Ecw Shane Douglas and others trys to act tough since they work for Ecw . Well we all seen how that played out for them and Ecw while Scott Hall went back to WWE and had great career and HOF
