I’ll never forget how Scott took care of and supported Katia Gordeeva and Daria after Sergei Grinkov died. And he did it all with no expectations for anything! He did it from his heart and what an amazingly huge heart he has! Just a real gentleman and a true friend! They don’t come any finer than Scott Hamilton. ❤️

I love this talented, humble man who turned his weaknesses into strengths by determination, hard work, and perseverance. He has the common sense and humility to acknowledge that many others were a big part of his success. How great it is that he was mature enough to realize that he could not go on through life, resting on his laurels. WHAT AN INSPIRATION! He is my all time favorite athlete!!!!!

Really nice guy. My husband and I heard him speak about his cancer at a church in Tucson, Arizona. My husband just had to meet him. When they saw each other, Scott said “oh my brother from another mother”. They looked so much alike. To this day, my husband shows that picture of him and Scott to everyone he sees and commends him for his courage.

Wow. I knew the champion figure skater Scott Hamilton but didn't know the human being. I'm more impressed with who he is than his skating accomplishments

Very thought provoking. It took so many people helping him achieve Olympic Gold that should been around that podium.

I've been watching him since he won Nationals on that fateful night in 1981. I love him, he makes me love this sport so much! A class act, a nice guy, just a gem in the strange world of blades on ice.

He’s right , I think Brian Orser’s performance was better. Scott Hamilton made a lot of mistake in his performance and he knew it He knew it wasn’t his best.

I'd bet anything that's how Yuna felt a top the podium too. She never had the same fire after Vancouver -- even at Worlds a month later. She got Silver to Miki Ando's Gold at Worlds the following year and became uncharacteristically emotional during the medals ceremony; I read it as her realizing how much she did not want to be competing anymore... There was a lot of pressure from Korea to keep her skating and pursuing that second Gold medal, since she is their single greatest national treasure

Graham's approach to interviewing is to ask a question, then keep quiet and let the guest answer. It is the best possible way to conduct an interview because the point of it is to hear from the person being interviewed. Many people who do "talk shows" speak over the top of the people they are interviewing.

deezynar I agree with you wholeheartedly. Scott Hamilton is a humble, classy, kind man. Years ago, Susan Lucci had a younger sister in the story of All My Children. She came out of the woodwork into her characters life and was overwhelmed by it all. In one scene on the show her sister is in raptures about who she is to meet, etc, and Susan looks at her, listens to her go on and on with a horrified expression and cuts her off, saying to her "DON'T GUSH!!". To me this man interviewing Scott is very respectful, not competing with Scott, he is asking questions and really listening to his replies. He is doing a great job. HE is not the star of the moment. Scott is.

Graham if I could send or post a picture of my brother Scott funny ahh. You'd think that my brother and Scott the figure skater look like identical twins. And my brother w As a premie back in 1962, he was to be born in either MARCH or April 1963. How would I go about doing so? Even each of their baby pictures look alike.
