What think is so amazing about Scott is he is the total package. So many skaters are all jumps or spins etc. Scott is everything plus something extra-showmanship! You loose yourself while watching him, he is so entertaining and special. I totally enjoyed his career.

Oh, he loved to skate. He trained hard but he loved it so much. To him, it was great fun and he felt so relaxed on ice. I was a kid when I watched him and saw an interview and he mentioned this.

Scott Hamilton (or as my dad and I affectionately call him, "Scotty") is the Michael Jackson of figure skating. Just asked; the King of Pop was much more than a mere pop star, and much more than a performer, Scotty exceeds the boundaries defined as a figure skater....both are ENTERTAINERS!! Over the years, many young men have modeled their skating styles after him, but there will never be another "Scott Hamilton".

I knew, in 1984, I would never love another skater like I did Scotty. There have been great, great skaters since then, but there’s only one Scott Hamilton. And I’ll always put him above any other. When he had his “Stars on Ice” tours I was fortunate enough to see him, and those amazing groups, three times. His personality, in person, slides right from that ice to you. God bless Scotty, and keep him well.

I remember watching scott hamilton, and the other skaters that he competed against every weekend is my mom. I miss those days. Scott was our favorite, but we enjoyed all of them. I took mom to see the Stars on Ice in Portland Maine a couple of times. The last time was the year Scott retired, and my mother was already showing signs of dementia. I'm so grateful that I had the chance to see Scott and the others skate one last time with my mom, who loved ice skating.
