This is absolutely awesome! As a new pilot just starting my training on the way to ATP, this retirement after 38 years is quite inspiring. What a lovely family and circle of friends. I hope he found another part time flying job quickly! Gotta keep that IFR currency up to par! 😉

I've always thought of Alaska Airlines as a soul brother. They came out of nowhere, have a rich, storied past, always trend setters. Not unlike us Texas boys and girls at Southwest. I'd give anything to have a domicile in Anchorage. No state tax, you can park yourself somewhere with no property tax, and send your 10 year old to the trading post to pick up a 50 caliber bear gun for you and no one would raise an eyebrow.
