This is great Scott. Maybe you'll remember me. I used to be "Bob" Long. Now I'm "Flint" Long. I met you in Sedalia with Frank French in about oh, 1996 or so. I had the Italian Stallion Cesare Poggi with me and my wife. You guys were ripping it up with Bucktown Buck and other great ones. But when you took the stage solo it was incredible. You're so clean and precise. Your pedaling is exquisite! You are a fine, fine player. Perhaps the best in the world for Joplin and classic ragtime! I'm glad to see you're still doing great.

No. Not like this. Better listen to the original. Don't hurry it up!! Let the right hand "key" notes "ring"! The piano must sound like Sidney Bechet's soprano sax. Let it sing! You hurry through the piece. And destroy it.

I know what you mean, but I still like it anyway.

Yes, in a way very well done. I know the temptation to speed up ... it overtakes me too. Yancey never did, and that's part if his unusual genius. Here, you do well at first, but speeding changes it into something altogether different, which is a pity.
