Flávio Micheletti you’re right, 4:54 is still in the jazz waltz. He’s still about halfway through the form at this point, I think you misunderstood it as him starting a new style.

Flávio Micheletti no problem! I’m pretty sure he was playing the chord changes to Charlie Parker’s Blues For Alice, which has a lot of extra ii-V progressions thrown in which is quite a confusing sound compared to the more blues progressions.

KeyboardImprov do you have instructional videos on what makes the sound of these styles? To me it seems a few styles are really recognizable by their left hand patterns like stride and boogie and big band, but then again some have really recognizable right hands too like NO. Especially guys like Booker and Longhair. It's an interesting discussion
