The Commissioner supposedly impartial, loses little time in exhibiting a prosecutorial and adverserial bias in her dealingsWITH A FORMER PRIME MINISTER OF THE COMMONWESLTH. Incessant intrrjection and not alllwing answers to be made is, if this were a normal trial in any court, clear oppoftunity for the "defence" to move for mistrial and recusing of the judge, in this case, the Commissioner. Such blatant antagonism will taint any findings and may ooen the possibility for litigation against the Commonwealth.

If I think back through all the prime ministers I remember, back to Whitlam, I can find things I liked and respect about each of them regardless of their politics and personal failings. Morrison? Can't think of one thing. I'd challenge anyone to tell me what his basic politics are, other than vague Christian morals.

I'd split a hair there. Morrison was able to at least win a full term from incumbency, meaning he could manage to be re-elected, Abbot couldn't even manage a full term. So, on that basis I'd say Morrison is a better politician, in that he can play politics better, than Abbot, but, given that he's still a disgrace, that's just about the lowest bar there is to clear. However, he's a worse politician than Abbot because there is nothing he stands for other than his own desperate requirement to be in power. Abbot, as vile and obnoxious as his conservative Christian values lead him to be, is public in his beliefs and positions, the hills he will die on. Morrison is a weather vane, holding whatever position PR dictates while suggesting vague, comforting Christian-like beliefs whose values actually don't withstand scrutiny and whose underpinnings explain his indistinct, deliberately amorphous public profile whose only distinguishing feature is extreme defensiveness. Morrison is utterly unself-aware and is therefore unable, for a man whose skill is supposed to be marketing, to game out the likely consequences of taking a holiday in Hawaii at the absolute height of the worst bushfire season on record.

Most of our current politicians will squirm and wriggle when under the enormous pressure of being asked a simple question that they haven't been given a script for prior to the question being asked. It happens with all pathological liars and sociopaths. Try it with your local member. At my local pre poll booth I asked the simple question to all the candidates... "Do you represent your constituents or do you vote how you've been told to vote?" The minor party and independent candidates wriggled slightly whereas the majors dodged, deflected, squirmed and nearly squealed when put under the spotlight they didn't want to be under.

I am looking forward to when the Commission publishes its report and directly addresses Morrison’s evidence. Given his repeated obfuscation after repeated directions to answer questions directly from the Commissioner. Combined with Morrison’s repeated negative imputations upon the impartial evidence gathering role of the Counsel assisting the Royal Commission. Along with Morrison’s general lack of respect displayed towards the Commissioner I would expect an adverse finding as to the credibility and veracity of Morrison’s evidence to the Royal Commission. Morrison’s evidence and that if his ministers will be key to the damning findings that the Royal Commission will make. At issue here is the extent of suffering that resulted from the unlawful and immoral actions of a handful of Coalition politicians and the captured Heads of Department that did their bidding. Behaviour compounded by a refusal to admit responsibility for the deaths and ruined lives they leave behind. Behaviour That was ultimately driven by the Coalition jaundiced views that Centrelink clients are the unworthy poor to politically abuse to leverage power and privilege for themselves.
