Mine is outside the Amp vs Amp battle, when Ramona is telling Scott that she just can't truly leave Gideon... ...you can hear 'Under My Thumb' by The Rolling Stones playing coming out of Gideon's limo as it pull up behind them. @@kristopherheenk2710 This movie is FILLED with little details like that! :D Like when in the bus the dokeh (which is.. light artifacts from not being in focus) in the background initially is just normal. But at the end of the ride, it's little hearts, as Ramona has fallen for him. God I love this movie so much :D

No it's not. It symbolizes Scott always trying to fight against himself, instead of accepting who he is and growing as a person. Accepting Nega Scott (the negative aspects of himself), he stops running from himself. During the DDR scene, it symbolizes him going through life, and using Knives as a crutch for getting through it. But he's forced to confront Nega Ninja solo and fails, showing his method of dealing with his life doesn't work. Because he has no respect for himself. By accepting Nega Scott, instead of pushing back against him, he grows emotionally.

Edgar Wright announced a couple of weeks ago that he’s producing an anime series of Scott Pilgrim for Netflix, and the entire original cast is coming back to voice their characters! Scott earned the power of reincarnation! This is one of those movies that manages to both embrace its source material AND be its own thing, keeping the soul of the comic book while changing certain elements to better fit a new medium (and I prefer the film ending). My only criticism is that perhaps not quite enough was done early on in the film to explain how Scott is such a great fighter. I think the Ninja game he plays with Knives was meant to illustrate that he’d learned his moves from that, but his expert level skills do seem to come out of the blue in that first fight. That’s just a little niggle though! And it was so fun to see Natalie geeking out about the film set references in the Lucas Lee scene 😁

As a Torontonian, I'm actually really pleased that they actually filmed this in Toronto. There's little Canadian easter eggs in multiple places. It's the quintessential late-00s movie, capturing the aesthetic, music, video game and pop culture references, and (absolutely stacked) cast so well. It has aged so perfectly. This is one of the best multi-media adaptations there is. Each of the formats both stands on its own, but also enhance one another. It's based on a series of graphic novels, which were stylized like a video game themselves. Then after the movie, they also released a video game. It's really worth diving into all three formats, as they all add together in unique ways. The graphic novels really do a great job diving into Scott's problematic behaviors and how he had to hold himself accountable to become a better boyfriend.

So fun fact the original ending which can be found online Scott did wind up with Knives not Ramona but the studio made the director change it. The whole movie was leading to Scott growing as a person and going back to Knives that was all around a much healthier relationship for him. Not necessarily the best thing for Knives but that’s a different conversation 😂.

It has been a while since I watched the DVD extras, but I thought they said quite a few people in the test audience (before the movie was released) felt bad for Knives winding up with Scott. That's when the director decided on the new ending, including the line with Knives saying she was too cool for Scott.

I am soooo glad you got so into the humour and the video game/anime style: Many reactors, especially those who had no idea it was coming, had a harder time with it (But many of the great ones really enjoyed it too). This one is one of my top 5 best movies of all time if only for that stylistic cinematography, but also for the story and the cast; there are so many actors who played superheroes or other characters in either the MCU, DCEU and other superhero TV series and cartoons: - Michael Cera: *Robin* in _the Lego movie_ - Chris Evans: *Captain America* in the _MCU_ - Brie Larson: *Captain Marvel* in the _MCU_ - Brandon Routh: *Superman* in _Superman Returns_ - Aubrey Plaza: *Morgan Le Fay* (Rumored) in the MCU's upcoming _Agatha: Coven of Chaos_ - Mary Elizabeth Winstead: *Huntress* in DC's _Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)_ - Mae Whitman: Many roles including *Wonder Girl* in DC's _Young Justice_ series - Thomas Jane: *The Punisher* in the 2004 movie version - Nelson Franklin: Appeared in both the _Captain Marvel_ movie and the _Agents of SHIELD_ MCU TV series (Which you should totally watch/react too!) ... and a few more in more or less superhero-ish projects.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World is one of my favorite movies of all time. I love all the Easter Eggs and little hidden details throughout the entire movie, so many that it gives the movie a lot of 're-watch value'. You notice new fun details every single time you watch it. One of my favorite little details is in the party scene when they are sitting next to each other if you look on the wall above her head you'll see a lightswitch but the crazy thing is that its way up the wall... that's because in that moment Scott has absolutely no chance of turning he on.😂😂😂 Another good one is that you always know what number of Seven Evil Ex's that Scott is fighting just by watching the fight and looking around the scene or look in the background because the number corresponding with that Evil Ex will appear somewhere and sometimes more than once. For example when Scott gets to Evil Ex number 2 the VERY first thing Chris Evens character does after he walks off/out of his trailer and before a single word has left his mouth he cracks his neck, not once... but twice. The biggest in your face example by far is the 3rd Evil Ex Scott fights has a number three on his shirt. Not to mention the number of coins Scott gets after he wins goes up by 1000 everytime. He got 1000 the first time, 2000 after beating Chris Evans, 3000 after the headbutt of horror, and so on and so forth. There are a TON more details you'll find the more you watch it and the more details you find/connect the more you'll fall in love with it. You can't help but love the movie just from the care that went into not only the set design but what was added into the shot so I highly recommend watching it at least one more time to see how many hidden details or Easter Eggs you can find.

Oh my god, seeing this reaction video is so awesome and amazing! Thank you! I love this movie so much ever since I saw it in theatres. The sad thing is that I'm almost the only one in my circle of friends who likes that movie so much. To me it's a piece of art! It also felt more like a videogame adaptation than any "real videogame adaptations" that came before Scott Pilgrim. The transitions, the amount of visual gags and details and not to mention the fights were actually really good. There's rarely any movies with that style that are so well done and funny. Not to mention I also had a crush on Ramona Flowers... I was almost jealous of Scott. ;) Mary Elizabeth Winstead is amazing. So thanks again for this reaction video, I had a great time. ❤

The comics really flesh things out. It becomes increasingly obvious that Scott has things in common with the evil exes, and by the time he gets to Gideon, Scott realizes that he would have been on track to become like Gideon, thus earning The Power of Understanding. He had been blocking out the parts of himself he didn't like, allowing himself to believe that he was unassailably good, when he was actually a solipsistic ass. He had to accept those parts of himself to learn to be better.

Michael Cera came in knowing how to play bass but the rest of Sex Bob-Omb had to start from scratch, kind of like The Wonders in That Thing You Do.
