I’d rather have hsc and Lsc than the twin lock, less cables aswell
@Bikemagazine6 жыл бұрын
You can drop in a Grip2 damper in the fork for $305 and get your HSC/LSC and cut one cord. In fact, we've done exactly that on our test bike, since we're not giving it back any time soon.

@@Bikemagazine I'd also swap the twinlock lever over to on top of the bar above the shifter to mount a proper dropper lever under the bar on the left.
@pierrebroccoli.93966 жыл бұрын
Sounds like a good idea, easy access to rear shock control and independent of the front that can still be locked but just by reaching down to the crown instead of a lever on the bar. For mellow trails and tech sections, sounds though Scott has done some good things with the design allowing for easy to modify the head/seat angles via suspension control instead of the usual flip chip settings on most other long travel bikes. I believe you have a 1.5 degree change from full slack to locked out.

Scott has an over the bar mount for the twinloc sold separately.

Great, now you guys have me looking more into this bike! Would you guys consider this the best ALL-Around Mountainbike! Cause I go to both XC trails and Intermediate to Black Diamond Bike Parks and my Intense Tracer 2016 Aluminum upgraded with carbon wheels does a decent to great job on the Bike Park and a average job on the XC trails (maybe cause of the weight and travel) and I do want to upgrade to a 29er.. How would you compare this bike to an Intense 29er Primer, or a Giant 29er Trance, or a YT 29er Jeffsey. Would you say this bike blows em all away?? Thanks guys! Again, love the reviews! Hoping to see another comparison video..

Hi there, I have a primer and a jeffsy 29er both. Go for the jeffsy too much value for what you pay and is a great bike overall. Primer a little bit more nervous than the jeffsy and more expensive.

You guys mentioned you tested an XL but didn’t mention your heights. I’m 6’1” with long arms and seriously considering the ransom. Could go either L or XL. Leaning XL. Just wondering how tall your testers are since they liked the fit of the XL...

I am thinking to buy a 2019 in los Anglees area.I am very trumpeted but I am wondering about the long-term reliability of this bike vs a Pevit switchblade or Yeti SB 150...Can you help me with this question? I'm too worried about leader support as well rear-shock service

Not sure why so many people complain about the twinloc. I have the 2018 Genius 900 Tuned. This is my first Scott and first bike with twinlock (obviously), I like the twinloc a lot. You can get an over-the-bar mount for the twinloc and run a wolftooth dropper lever...which is what i'm doing. If you can somehow get on a genius or a ransom to demo along with the Rocky...I think you're decision will be easy.

Prices are crazy. I can get a 2009 KTM 400XCW for $$3500. A used Niner ROS for $1000, and put the rest in a stock index fund.

That's just silly thinking! I can just not have any motorized toys other than a car.. Buy the bike full price.. Not pay for fuel or a trailer plus tune ups oil changes and or engine work.. Put that long term savings into an echange traded Fund..Be in the best possible shape by doing body power sports only and have it all!

I think the Twinloc is super neat and clever. I love the idea of flipping the shock and running the remote out of the way instead of reaching down to flip the switch. But I'll take a good linkage, (Split Infinity, or anything by Dave Weagle,) ridden open over Twinloc all day long. I'm curious to see if Scott will try any of the Fox Live electronic stuff.
