So the USA gets to dictate terms to Iran because it is 'not comfortable' with the idea that Iran may have nuclear weapons, while Iran sees just how much respect the USA gave to Russia's concerns when it warned for many years that it was 'not comfortable' with Ukraine's integration into NATO? Being 'comfortable' only matters when its American concerns? Sure, I know there's such a thing as realpolitik, but it's clear that the rest of the world is growing extremely tired of US exceptionalism. They're getting tired of US domination. Things are not going to go back to how they were, that's for sure. I'm not sure other countries will be all that impressed with the USA's insistence on its right to 'be comfortable', when the USA and those who pull its strings are clearly incapable of reciprocating.

Regardless of how sick and tired ppl may feel about American exceptionalism. America isn’t broken ! America is still on top ! Sure is it an empire in decline? Yeah! But that could take years! As it is it’s still the most powerful country! And Iran wants a relationship with the west! Iran is prioritizing what will benefit them! Iran knows it’s beneficial to them economically to have sanctions lifted! So as tired as ppl may be amout American exceptionalism! The fact is America is neither weak or broken ! And until both these things are true! As of now, America remains the strongest and most powerful country on this planet!

An outsider's take on the American scene: Many consumer-citizens stateside might say go for it! There are big oil and lithium reserves in Persia. Plus, with Trump's grand declarations about Greenland, Mongolia, Canada, and the Panama Canal, America looks primed to become "le grand chien du monde". As a European visitor to your shores some years ago, I can tell you that many of my peers and colleagues back home still look up to America as being a beacon of hope and idealism for the world. Many Europeans are overwhelmed by the sheer immensity of its big box shopping infrastructure when they visite the US. When I stayed in Cherry Hill, NJ, a couple of years ago, I made it a point to do daily shopping at the local big box. Even though the terrain in and around Cherry Hill is rather flat, I still nicknamed the area-"The Shining Big Box on the Hill". When I landed at Philadelphia International, I collected my baggage and went straight to the car rental agency. One might assume, that being European, I would've rented a compact car. But, no! When one travels abroad, one must do like the locals and go big or go home. I opted for the oversized Mazzerrati Humvee with built-in-the-dash adderall dispenser. To my enjoyment, it came equipped with a life sized portrait of Alina Habba strutting her stuff while walking down Madison Avenue dressed as the Virgin Mary. Anyway, to conclude, I think that the US is ready for total domination under Trump and his sidekick/doppelganger-minister of foreign policy and international affairs, Dr. Quincy Magoo!

I wish I could share your optimism my friend. Anyone can click the share button on social media. But unfortunately, when predicting somebody's future behaviour, the most evidence based way to do it is to look at how they have behaved in the past. My reading about the genetic basis for personality and behavior is pretty current and I'll tell you it looks like the genes that, at their extreme, are the temperamental foundation for proclivities to anti-social psychopathy, explosiveness, sadism, paraphilias, complete lack of human compassion, etc. and even worse, such as drives as necrophilia, etc., will always come out of the gene pool. Even long-term eugenics couldn't rid the gene pool of those genes because genes naturally, unavoidably, mutate somewhat. Psychologists have been reluctant to say some people are born bad but now, as research, clinical and legal documentation give more and more insight, and more research shows some types of self-destructive behavior or criminality appear to run in families, that some psychologists are beginning to say such things about some cases . Most mutations are innocuous (we all carry hundreds) but some produce people from hell. As well, evolution has preserved some genetic configurations such as extreme disagreeableness because, it seems, such a characteristic, brutal as it is, has some survival value in terms of survival of the fittest ('fit' in that sense has a very specific meaning, essentially that a specimen is strong and smart enough that they will have grandchildren). Extremely disagreeable people can fulfill valuable roles in science for example, by doubting all previous findings about something and researching it further. However, some extremely disagreeable people that will come out of the gene pool will be beyond constructive and have an anti-social effect, legal or illegal. All the utopian fantasies of perfect political theories that lead to perfect societies comprised entirely of citizens that are, at the very least, not destructive to each other, all those fantasies are impossible and we live in a world that is, on the whole, irregular by nature and EVERY kind of karma and drama plays out here.

What the hell is going on with Scott lately? I used to respect him, and I in the past have learnt a lot from him. I remember how are deeply opposed to the war in Iraq he was 20 years ago. Now, ever since the fall of Syria, he is starting to sound like a typical American. he also taught me that it is one thing to hate Trump the way that mainstream left to do, and it is another thing to constructively criticise him and feel that he is some sort of hack or whatever. Now, he is singing from the same hymn book as Trump and all his neocon buddies. It's as though he has done a complete about face in the last six weeks or so, and to say it is disappointing as an understatement. When he first started this nonsense, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. I didn't want to jump straight to "he is compromised in ", because I recognise that he is human and all human beings have bad days. now though, this has been going on for about six weeks now, and there is a definite change in his analysis interviews. He is not critical of Trump at all like he used to be. He thinks Trump is going to save the day, and he used to be worried about Trump with his finger on "the button". also, he was very well aware and called out from and his pro Zionist, I did Israel supporting cabinet, and he called out the warmongering against Iran. Are used to also be very proPalestine, and had a lot of praise for the fighters in the access of resistance. Where did all that go? I wonder if somebody gave him a quiet phone call or threat behind the scenes? I'm starting to wonder if now, the people who had that knee-jerk reaction of "he is compromised in ", back around the time Syria shell we're probably right. I used to be that sort of person that jumped to that conclusion only to be proven wrong later. So I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. That's benefit of the doubt is wearing extremely thin now. Although I will say… Both him and I both share the same love for small dogs so that's something.

I can't make up my mind on what is better. Calculated or Non-calculated Evil.
@solofx6550Күн бұрын
Neither
@harryhoudini714Күн бұрын
Let me help you out! Non-calculated or "impulsive" Evil is "better" (much grains of Salt should be used here) when it comes to the scope of the destruction caused. Since it happens without intent (thats why its non-calculated), its often not even really "evil" in the strict sense. Lets look at some examples: a man, after having been put through some very unfortunate circumstances in life like job loss, divorce, betrayal, traumatic experiences etc. "snaps" and starts running amock. Evil? will be hard convincing otherwise! calculated? unlikely! Another man, rather well off in life, comfortably wealthy, no big issues, no big problems decides after studying some literature that there are elements of society that are a "burden" and must be eliminated. He meticulously makes plans and executes them which results in the death of lets say X number of homeless people, all the time fully knowing what he is doing. Evil? you betcha! Calculated? mathematically! Calculated Evil can better utilize their energy towards their goal since they are fully conscience and have their whole mental power at their disposal. Thats why they are able to commit their evil on a grander scale. Impulsive Evil is often clouded by other factors which limits the scope which they can use their faculties to fully extend which results in them basically making "mistakes" or been stopped by what they couldnt account for. To put it differently, If you dont know you will be committing Evil, chances are you wont have the tools at hand that would allow you to be "more effectively Evil" but if you are fully aware of your Evil and premediate it, you will be fully prepared for whatever Evil you want to commit. I hope this clears it up a little!

In what ? God is within you, so I ask again where is Christ in YOU ? He isn't in time & space or wearing a toga & Birkenstocks. So where is the I AM OF THE BIBLE ? It is in us, our IMAGINATION. There is nothing it cannot do, be or create. The book is to point you to God. It isn't God it is you.
@weshallbesaved513715 сағат бұрын
@@dlmdeeseems your confusing the difference between - our imagination - and the God of the Bible working through us, as it did with the surrendered to God in the Bible. We can let our " imagination" come up with some pretty weird stuff, BIG difference. Plus, that would be making each of us, little god's in our own right, hardly the " First and the Last " of the Bible. ❤️✝️

You can bet the Soviet Union (or the Nazis for that matter) did not simply "gave up" their "project" but they were visited by an old friend carrying an "offer nobody can refuse"......Reality! and trust me, that "old friend" is everybodies friend and may and will visit uninvited anytime it needs to.

If any pro independent or anti occupation movements today, labelled as terrorists were to amalgamate to their countries regular armies, then you could have for example, Lebanese citizens spread around the world join to fight side by side with their armies just like Israelis join from different parts of the globe….That would be acceptable wouldn’t it? Or these countries would be punished and sanctions imposed ? The double standard would be laughable!!! Just remember more sanctions more countries joining Brics and their economic decline is of their own doing !
