Nobody knows (because it's too late to ask him) and everybody knows (through his lyrics and live performances) what Scott went through or the type of pain he was in. I have been deeply touched by the loss of Scott Weiland and I'm not one to pay too much attention to the lives or deaths of famous people but this one struck a chord. Its so fucking sad.

there's so many ppl in the industry that go through similar or worse things, per ohlin for 1 but at least scotts band didn't use his death in the same way to get fame. they're ppl too, they just get watched the most. yer neighbors r probably going through something similar & you don't even know it.

The problem with today is everything is at our fingertips, no one has an attentionspan , a good full length album is hard to comeby its dominated by shitty singles that most people listen to the first minute and then click next on their phones...music is just too disposable now and the quality has declined drastically since the early 2000s ....still good music out there but its hard to come by and certainly isn't mainstream

Scott looks so healthy back around then. If you see video and photos in 92 and 93 before he was heavily using he was a good looking health guy. By 2000 and 2001 he was not healthy looking at all. Too skinny and a lot of muscle loss. He used to be an athlete in school. It’s too bad he didn’t ever truly get clean. He had the period he had to stay clean or go to prison and he did but once that was lifted it was basically a death sentence for him sadly. He deteriorated so fast after his drug court stuff was finished.

No doubt him and the band were on the outs at the time..Dean said he'd been fed up with Scott's addiction since 94' and the shit he put them through was A LOT. They couldn't tour global because he couldn't score in other country's or simply was physically unable etc...but man when he was good or just a lil high he was one of, if not the best front man anyone could ask for..clearly high as fuck in this speech lol

Whats interesting to know, but most of the time gets swept under the carpet is that Dean shot dope/coke with Scott for days on end as well. The only difference is that Dean would somehow manage to drag himself to rehearsals, while Scott would keep going. So its kind of a bummer that the band went off at Weiland so bad. I guess his behaviour became really erratic at some point.
