isn't it ironic that in life the truly gifted are so often misunderstood that they're dismissed for the very talents that aroused the suspicion and subconscious envy of others that only in death are they finally exonerated accepted and ultimately celebrated by the very same ignoramuses who formerly refused them for the dead can no longer threaten to continually astound the fearfully intimidated less talented ones. Scott's real curse was that he was lightyears ahead of his time.

@@truthteller9772 Michael's official cause of death was Heart Failure... To insinuate that Michael's heart condition may have been caused by chemical dependency is purely speculative... And Michael loved his brother Scott deeply, and Scott loved Michael... they were a lot alike those two...and they both loved Zep! That's partly why this song seemed a fitting tribute to the brothers-- "He said it's alright, you know it's alright...I guess it's all in my heart" 💘

Regardless of what Scott did in his personal life, he was still a human being that loved his fans and gave it his all when you paid to see him. At the time we made this Scott was still alive and thriving... i had kept those masters at my dear friend and long time editing partner Jamie Mitchell's home and place of business Beachwood Cottage Films, but tragically not long after Scott passed away, I'd suggested to Jamie we amend the ending to include Scott with Michael in the tribute fade which he insisted we'd attend to as soon as he could but Jamie was suffering from chronic health problems by this time too and had become physically handicapped and sadly Jamie too passed away not long after Scott. So it really should read: for Michael for Scott and for Jamie...brothers all may they R.I.P. I'd personally known Michael the longest He and I had become fast friends in 97 well before He would end up introducing me to Scott at a New Years Eve party In the Hollywood Hills in 98... We worked together on several projects Michael mostly liked the Art Department though he was also uniquely talented and could do pretty much anything on set and was fun to work with so he quickly became a staple in my skeleton crew, he was also a fabulous percussionist. Scott and I would first work together during a project I was filming for Limp Bizkit documenting the making are there a sophomore album "significant other" which featured Scott as both a guest Vocalist and collaborator along with Fred and a list of others. Jamie would begin working with me in 04 on Panic Chanell, Dave Navarro's pet project together with the remaining Jane's lineup of that time only featuring Steve Isaacs on Lead Vocals Chris Chambers on Bass and Steven Perkins on drums... Perry was taking a break the band persuing His own solo project... it's all very interconnected and complicated...

@bettyalvey3232 жыл бұрын
He was a true performer, he became different characters as he performed his music for us. From the angelic, lovestruck melody man on Atlanta to the growling, prowling, frightening date rapist on Sex Type Thing. Anyone can sing a STP song but Scott performed them for us like nobody else could ever do. 😎
@mikeperrinoid19012 жыл бұрын
@@bettyalvey323 I agree with everything you say about performance. I was lucky enough to see them at a very intimate venue in Norfolk VA called"The Norva"..An old building that was originally built for plays, but would book whatever entertainment to keep the doors open. Out of that live music reigned king,& reputation of the sound spread. Through the years it's closed & been reopened for many other businesses mainly involving night culture,& multiple clubs that opened strong, last 2 years than go out of business as Downtowns businesses declined & crime rose till it finally sat empty,& ran down for years.Then they started projects to revive Downtown. The building was bought & refurbished all original wood instead of remodeling & opened up as a music venue,& the sound was the leading star.. Not notoriously famous for its Natural Acoustics achieving borderline sound perfection, within musician circles from all genres, walks of life, & stages of careers.Might see an Indy band on a Monday, to underground punk band on a Tuesday then catch Dave Matthews(who actually picked it for a couple recordings off they're live album) Willy Nelson, McCartney, Drake,& Pearl Jam in the same week. Sound quality that's borderline perfection due to natural acousticas (usually crediting the og design for play actor's to be heard un-mic'd,& all original wood). My point in all this? Not just anybody can sing the extremely wide range of vocals that Scott could, & did flawless sooo consistent. We all seen what happened when Chester Bennington tried to front STP & dude can sing in his own right. Scott read exceptional with stage presence, & performance. But he could be behind a curtain & you'd know they had a one of a kind lead singer. I seen dude kill it for an almost 3 hour set that read flawless 5 feet in front of me, & have 5 people that was with me that would say the same. Best live show all of us had seen, & all of us has seen a LOT OF SHOWS. You knew you were witnessing a would be LEGEND.
