Scott had a lot of fun at this show. I was in the front (stage about 2 1/2 feet in front standing about 1/4 way left of center) I could see it in his eyes and his smile,..he was comfortable and very measured. The thing he seemed to enjoy the most was that sound machine thing. He would walk over and operate it making all kinds of cool sounds. For most of the songs I was singing along nice and loud with him,....along with most everyone else. I didnt get to meet him, but felt very drawn to do so. We waited until they started the tour bus before we finally left. The meet n greet fans and two or three walking up the street as he darted into the bus were the ones lucky enough to speak with him,...Outside it was silent as a church while he was right there by the barricaded fans as they quietly just stared. I yelled out THANK YOU SCOTT!,...then someone from the line yelled out "we love you". He got on the bus and that was it. I walked up the street right where he just stood a minute earlier,...our paths will never cross again in this world,...but my memory is all that great music he gave us and singing along with him that night in NJ. He took it right to the brink,..playing his soul out those final days. A legend,...only quieted if you forget his gift.

He sounded great here in Montclair, NJ less than a week before he passed. An absolute (underrated) legendary frontman ... and he loved that MEGAPHONE!

We were fortunate to have opened this show. It was a great night. Who knew that due to his unfortunate passing, it would be that much more meaningful that we got to experience this. We say this not just as a band, but more importantly as fans who got to enjoy this from the crowd with all of you.

damn this is his best performance I've seen in the last decade. Im happy to see he had such a great show before he went out. I've been searching and searching for something that showed Scott Weiland with his vocals sounding solid.. Blown away. Im going to search for more from this show

as sad as i am he's dead, i'm thankful at least Scott was able to perform to the day he died. with that said, i'm also okay with the fact of him passing away in his bed, and not on stage. can you imagine how awful that would have been? he's really straining himself here and i can't imagine the stress of touring non-stop. his tour manager should have not have let him kept performing, he did not look well!

If this news story broke around a year ago, I wouldn't be as shocked. Just as sad yes, but not as shocked as I am now, I know it's hard to tell from my shitty cell phone audio but I can't stress enough how great he sounded and energectic he was last saturday, it was so good that i broke my own rule of doing what I hate at concerts, taking out your phone to film it, thats how incredible the performance was.......... Makes no fuckin sense. Just plain sucks.

You can see the track marks on the Arm holding his mic. There was a close up picture payed from this show and they were bad. It's a shame RIP
@smashb139 жыл бұрын
+Joe Coletta well aren't you lovely. It's the truth there have been several pictures posted from this concert pointing it out. It is very sad but the truth remains he had an issue and the people pushing him on stage to perform and make money for them are just as much to blame.
@Floydman0159 жыл бұрын
In all seriousness I don't at any point see any track marks in this video.
@smashb139 жыл бұрын
+Joe Coletta I may have confused your video with someone else's. There was another video posted from this show and you could see them on the inside of the arm he was holding the mic with. There were also photos online and he was wearing the same shirt. Regardless still a tragedy for his fans and family.

what happened to his deeper awesome voice? This one is too nasily? No doubt from coke I guess. Very sad, though.
@JoeC.38Ай бұрын
I would owe that to people growing older. I'm not sure if you have yet to come across this revelation, but generally speaking, a person's voice does not remain in a consistent tone for their entire lives. Thanks for watching, I suppose.
