It’s missing the soul for me in these vocals. He’s too calculated and focused on the technical aspects of the song. It’s literally about someone on the brink of ending their life surveying how they have nothing to live for but he’s more worried about enunciating and placing vibrato in the right spots to really convey such depth that the lyrics demand. It sounds like he tried to copy some Weiss riffs here too but grossly missed the mark on most of them 🧐

@@harri6399 Cool. He’s apparently not like that for reasons I already outlined. He’s a theatrical vocalist that, at least here, focused too much on applying his “theater tone and technique” to the song rather than connecting to the sentiment and letting that power his vocal instead. The fact that he’s allegedly suffered from mental illness bears no weight to any of that. If that’s the case, he failed to use source material in experience to connect to the song more.

I was looking at your website (obviously), and I looked at your vocal therapy sessions and thought I read that the sessions are based in Ft. Lauderdale - is that true? Is that the only place that you hold them?
