+princess consuela The spiritual morphology of Dave Grohl's music parallels a second year college student- naive and empty. Compared to Kurt Cobain's music. I know I'm gonna catch a lot of hate for this, but it's the truth.

Music is about personal experience. What may seem right to you may not seem right to others. Both are extremely talented artists I don't even know why this came up. I love nirvana, however the foo fighters have actually saved me from a really hopeless place.

@nasser wiz that's not cool or even close to fair, tbh. If I had a chance to sacrifice the shit show that my life is today for enough money to stay content for awhile, then I bet I could find enough time and ways to have fun enjoying what I'm doing too. You're not mad at Dave, it's yourself you're mad at and now I've allowed myself to feel discouraged at your bitter arrogance. Thanks. I'm done with the internet tonight so I'm going to go re-read Dave's book instead✌

My heart breaks for Dave Grohl. To lose your best friend is horrific. For it to happen again is unimaginable. Sad doesn't even begin to convey today's news. But you know what helps? That every single comment, news story and other coverage I have seen emphasises the goodness. The joy. The purity of spirit that Taylor embodied.

There is no way to get over it either, other then just somehow put together a way to keep going cos nothing u do or say will bring them back.. there's only memories.... RIP Kurt Donald Cobain. You and Nirvana were my first real musical Influence during my formative teen yrs, and because of buying music mags that had you and or Nirvana in it, you've expanded my music, my musical knowledge, and helped me grow in ways that have shaped who I am today. Even though I've slightly moved past Nirvana now after all this time, you, Kurt and Nirvana, still and will always hold a place in my heart. ❤️✌️

Great interview! Dave’s always great at conversing, but Taylor is great with his little witty comments he throws in & how he jokes with Dave.
@jodiharvey39222 жыл бұрын
In several interviews Taylor gets frustrated at or just not getting to talk. Dave kinda takes over. Not judging just, it’s really noticeable to me.

This is so sad, first he's a drummer & loses the front man & now he's the front man & loses the drummer. I can't even begin to imagine what Dave Grohl is feeling & going through right now but we are all mourning with you. R.I.P Taylor Hawkins, rest in peace

Grohl is massively underrated. Period. Nirvana/Curt - indisputable excellence. But not well mentally and we got 2-3 great albums. One of them changed music. Yet, I doubt more could have come because of his personal difficulties. Dave has a track record that is really rare. Twenty years later and he can still fill a stadium? He is in a very rare group. And he's so well adjusted. Amazing guy.

Love Dave Grohl, he seems like such an awesome guy. It must have been really hard to lose a friend like kurt. I lost one of my best friends at 18 and it took a couple years to really wrap my head around it but I carry it with me every day but it changed my life in ways I cant Express. My youngest child is named after him and the ways he shaped life without either of us knowing it at the time is something I will always hold close to my heart.

The way Dave looks at Taylor while listening about his newborn; the way Taylor says he bugged Dave when first being alone with his baby; the way they sound funny even when one corrects another... I know things feel, look and sound painful right now. But we can also think about how rare, magical and special their friendship was. True love. Not everyone finds something like that in life.
