I’m gonna go out on a limb here and suggest that the Raptors would have at least 3-4 more wins had Darko not glued Chris Boucher to the bench for the first 25 games of the season. I gather he’s being given minutes lately (and showing out) simply to pro,one him as a trade piece, and that doesn’t sit well with me. Chris should remain a Raptor. He’s ageless.

I agree with you about Chris. Yet I also agree that this season is about development, and acquiring a top draft pick is important. Those extra wins aren't important this year.

Development is why the Raptors are now winning, with Gradey taking an extra step and players like Shead and Ja’Kobe actually contributing off the bench.

Would be awesome if he stays a Raptor

I wonder what RJ Barrett's ceiling is defensively. If RJ can become a consistently impactful defender while maintaining a respectable C&S percentage then that would be huge.

Love your game reviews. Keep up the good work. Could I also suggest that you adjust your eye line? Strange to be looking slightly off camera on this kind of podcast. 👍🏾

Es trying to calm expectations around Orlando as a 10-day. Too late! I’m all in already!
@Devon7Landry3 сағат бұрын
I liked what i seen from orlando i think they should sign him to another 10 day. His hands didnt look great but i think if u can get it to him better in the pocket/lob he could be more effective/efficient. Also i love that 905 run same plays as raptors to make it easier for transition. Not all G league teams do this lol

What if IQ comes back and the team immediately plays worse?

Bloom was my player of the game. He was great. We need him long term. Moves like Koloko (a little slower but bigger in the body). Although, it makes me wonder what is the plan. Is he a backup to Jakob or they planning to trade Jakob? I say keep them both while Ulrich is developing.

Calling him Bloom is hilarious

11:21 - we'll probably trade Bruce, Davion, Boucher by the deadline. Then let the incoming players take those minutes for the first 7ish games after the deadline. Then, the young guys take over the "soft end" of the schedule, and we surge into the play-in.

Small moves but I still have no idea why the Raptors didn't try to keep Brandon Carlson. He's getting some minutes in OKC (the best team in the NBA?) and he's hitting 3's a decent clip. I think he's only on 10 day contracts so maybe he'll become available again and worth a shot in Tdot. Mogbo is more a future #4 hopefully and Chomche could get there but he's a few years away most likely.
@thevilifyingforce20 сағат бұрын
Yeah, a bit of a head scratcher to keep Fernando over him, but you gamble at the bottom of your roster I suppose. OKC cut him, then Holmgren and Hartenstein went down hurt so they brought him back on a 10 day after he cleared waivers. With Carlson on his second 10 day now OKC can either sign him the rest of the season or go with someone else, but should find out soon.
@MannyB-b7l16 сағат бұрын
Raps kept Battle instead of Carlson, which I'm okay with. And Bruno provided a more experienced big. It's just the way things work out sometimes for the last roster spot.
@sampson312116 сағат бұрын
I don't think they are looking to trade as much as you make it out to be. The team is finally mostly healthy and have a few games under their belt to gel and this is the result. They are going for the play in and I think they have a great chance of making it and upsetting teams in the playoffs. If they were really trying to tank they wouldn't be winning or playing the players they are. I think this is your want not the teams to tank for a chance to land top 5 in the draft, which isn't guaranteed

@@cissem4025also, I’ve never seen a sports team and it’s media force a player down our throat, it’s crazy. You would think my boy is Michael Jordan. Even the Leafs didn’t do that with Austin Matthews. It’s like they are stuffing everything Scottie down our throats man. It’s annoying because Scotttie doesn’t need them to do that.

Hi. Thanks. Congrats to the Raps. Respectfully, it was never, ever a p*zza party. It was always about a formal dinner with Darko, but the players requested something a little bit more relaxed so, the media decided it was p*zza. Nope. I am more interested in Scottie being so awesome that he received the chain⛓️ again. Yeehaw🤠! “This team is a little bit better than we hoped, right now”…? 🤯 “You don’t want this team to go on a massive run”…? 🤯 I’m going to go now. ‘Bye.
