A Scottie analogy for me in a Naval Aircraft Carrier Fleet scenario is that the power of Scottie, is that he can bully score, is a strong defender and he can play the hub to create for other players on the team. Amazing player.

6:54 - is it just me, or is there a sesnse of stability when Ja'Kobe is on the floor. His super power is that he makes the other 4 on court sharper, and calmer. Tell me if you think I'm wrong

Sean, you just explained Davion's defensive impact with the team, so why can't you understand it? Those things don't show up on the boxscore. Many defensive attributes are hard to classify. But defence is just as important as offence. Lowry was a perfect example of this.

the fact that his offense is so bad would usually render a guy a liability, especially in the modern NBA. as good as he's been, it's shocking to me that he has the biggest on/off differential on the team, and I doubt it holds up all year because of the offense, but i'm happy to enjoy it while it's happening. matisse thybulle is like a generationally good defender who's barely an NBA player because of his offense. that Davion's doing what he's doing as such a defense only guy is really insane!

@@LockedOnRaptors I think the main difference is davion can run sets and has the ability to set up his teammates. He has had many high assist games this season where as thybulle has no individual scoring ability or playmaking

yeah that's probably part of it, though I do think his assist totals are more about the raps system than him being a real playmaker. the fact that he can just cook a dude off the bounce when he needs to is helpful too.
