i used to have a 75 with the 455 HO 4 speed back in the mid 80's. that thing scared me. it's the only car i ever owned that i don't know how fast it would run. thanks for showing this one. brings back a lot of memorys.

I wish I could have made it to Brother.. hopefully I can build this channel to were it will give me enough budget to be able to make things like that...right now it hardly covers the gas to chase locally..thanks for supporting my channel!

Had the same 1976, all black with only the eagle on the hood. Sold it in Albuquerque with only 32,000. Four speed, Air shocks, 60's all around. Damn I was stupid for letting it go for 8k.
@ScottieDTV12 жыл бұрын
Ya I wasn't there in the summer but I heard that to...just as hot as it was cold...I was lucky to being a 62E everything had a cab but the dozzer..it got so cold that the condensation on the inside of the windows would turn to ice..2 inches thick!..I was raised in northern Ohio so I grew up in cold...but nothing like that!!

Beautiful car man. I had a '76 Trans Am. 400 - 4speed. Got it from a former NBA player. At the time he had 2 sedans--a Jag & a Maserati, a 260Z & a '76 Trans Am. All the smog stuff the government made them slap on the engine, really castrated it. (I really wish Pontiac had engineered around that sh--I mean stuff). At any rate, while still in Raleigh, I had all that junk taken off. Of course genius here, didn't realize I'd have to put it all right back on, once I moved to California. But, before I did (put it back on) I had the speedometer wrapped around to 130. By then, I had lost the race, so that's as fast as I ever went. (Perfectly safe, relatively new, deserted freeway, 4 lanes each way. Literally zero cars in front of us, as far as the eye could see). Coming across west Texas, opened it up a tad to 80. First time I ever heard that Detroit motor purr. Still purring like a kitten @ 100. Then I finally realized why they called it a Trans Am. In California, any engine improvements automatically flunked the biannual smog test. A '75 had to wait 20 years. A '76 = 25. In 79, saw an article in a car magazine, where some guy had put a twin turbo on his late 70'sTrans Am. Great idea--if you don't live in SoCal.

ScottieDTV Scottie I have a 76 formula but I don't care too much for the nose and I love the 70-73 formula front end. I'm buying a 73 formula hood and nose to put on my 76 even though the back half is different with the smaller window so my question to you is what do you think should I keep it original or go with the awesome 73 nose, the car is all original in very good condition.thanks in advance for your advice!
