Wow. From Georgia, Taylor. We are too? Im mixed(black and white) its on my moms side. Trussville Alabama is also named after some of our decendants. My granddad just passed and left our family tree going back 12 generations. He also had a certified research study done in 1990 signed and everything. It's been fascinating to learn. But right now, with our country the way it is we've got to stand with Texas. We are needed here.

I'm a descendant of the Cameron Clan, I know I'm mixed (black&white) lol my grandfather passed recently and left are family tree and a certified copy of our history. I've learned about donald Cameron and his nicknames. Ironically, my name is Charles Cameron Taylor (black tailor of the battles-axe) I just so happen to be black. At some point we moved to America known by then as Truss(Trussville Alabama is named after us) and eventually regained the name Taylor. It is fascinating how history works. Thought I would share

My gggg grandfather Lewis Cameron fought with Bonnie Prince Charlie,and after they lost fled to Canada with his wife and child,who then walked to the Harrisburg,PA area and left the child behind as they made their way back to Canada,he was also Lewis Cameron,buried in East Salem,PA

Most interesting to me that the first image and the painting of the chieftain have my eyes...I got my eyes from my father John Douglas and he has his father's eyes....found out my new neighbor was named Cameron, didn't know if it was her maiden name or not until I saw the color of her hair...she has the same color as my sister and a few cousins, I later met her mom, for sure she is descended from Lochiel because she has the nose....very strong genes and you can tell a Cameron sometimes by these physical characteristics....I never thought about the eyes too much though until I saw the paintings here...yup that's my ancestors...I like to think I inherited their courage too.... sometimes 😉

I'm A proud Cameron but not proud of Lochiel supporting Bonnie Prince Charlie - he had his reservations before comitting to the cause - but even when the jacobites had secured Edinburgh - The prince rejected Lochiel's advice and marched south into England - he should have told him to get back on his boat the moment he arrived at Glenfinnan - he was no more than an Italian /French Catholic mongrel with a vague claim to the Scottish throne.
