Lachlan “Mor” Mackintosh 17th chief of the clan Chattan . He’s my 14th great grand father. I have no idea what all this means I’m just starting my research ❤

I'm a Stewart that's a 5th generation new zealander. My great great grandfather landed in Invercargill in the 1890s his name was Alexander James Stewart. His son Reuben stewart served in ww1 and was awarded personally by the French President the highest declaration for gelentry they could award to a Non commissioned officer for saving lives on the somme and few other things. His son served in ww2 at Monte grappa and the Pacific. His son become a fisherman and now im a fisherman. I can trace my heritage back to 1860s to a woman called Mary Stewart from Edinburgh know nothing past that. Anyway morel to the story is pretty proud to be part of the ole Stewart clan.

My grandmother was a Macdonald from Glencoe . I was born in 58 Loanfern Ballachulish and grew up there

I descend from Somerled through the Maternal line (my great-great-grandmother was a MacDonald) and she wed my great-great-grandfather who was a McCance....I hit a blank wall thereafter on finding out how the McCance surname was associated with which clan.

My fourth great grandfather was Farquhard Campbell, he bought a Demerara sugar plantation in Guyana, his daughter was of natural birth i.e. illegitimate and married a man from Bristol whose descendants were the shortest serving prime minister, ( now Liz truss), he was friends with William Wilberforce and against slavery. Strange when I thought I had no Scottish blood.

I legitimately descend from James V and Margaret Tudor (12th great grandparents) , also from James IV by by James V & Margaret Tudor (legitmate line) two mistresses (Margaret Drummond and Agnes Stewart) so James IV is my great grandfather 3 x over. Its sort of wild how many Stewarts and Stuarts are in my family line, primarly because of James IV. I can trace lineage back to the first Stewart and also Robert the Bruce. So many clans in my ancestry, Drummonds, Douglas, Erskine, de Warrene, Campbells, Gordons, seems like i am related to all the nobility of Scotland because of the Stewarts.

Pretty cool to randomly recognize that James Wolfe, a hero of Canada, fought against the Jacobites.

I got my DNA matched with the clan with a 164 SPN and also with the Crown with 101SPN and im not even Scottish...But it makes me more certain that the Scots were Israelites since this info is from my Y chromosome and I know for certain my father side was exiled to babylon so why would he carry a scottish connection to the clan and for the crown ? which also shows connection between strong clans and the crown through marriage, this is very interesting coz even before getting the results i was curious with Scots and with the declaration of arbroath when they count there time in an Israeli time "1200 years after the people of israel crossed the sea" I found it strange that they write that in their declaration - also the flag of the clan was blue and white like the jewish zizit and the name armstrong is again connected to the Israelites crossing the red sea coz it says that god freed them with strong arm -this stuff is crazy but make sense ya wee c@n@s

My Great Grandmother was a Campbell. Though she was born on the isle of Jersey (according to genealogy sites) and emigrated to Canada, her siblings were from Dundee, Scotland. 😎👍
