To work Martin. Thanks for the video and giving our inline mini regulators a go. Let us know if you need anything else. I should say we have a small upgrade you can get soon which is a digital gauge for this mini regulator. The digital gauges are also much more accurate and good if it's a bit dark in the keezer.

These videos are giving me inspiration to try other styles I normally wouldn't consider, especially the tasting at the end, Lauren's my favourite taste tester, her reaction to the marzen beer made me brew it haha.

Excellent video - I am waiting for some of those kegland secondaries...the best way I've found to test pressure is to put 30 psi on the lines and turn it off. Come back in an hour and see if the secondaries have gone to zero. This way, if you have a leak, you lose very little gas while you look for leaks. Also, a few drops of dishwashing soap in a bottle of water sprayed will blow bubbles big enough to see - unlike Star San...Cheers!

Good tips. So far no leaks.

Nicely done! Its cool to see the mods you do to your system. Theres always ways to tweak and improve. I get to learn more about the hobby rather than just watch beer getting brewed.

You need a small wet-dry vac for that keezer, and some desiccant dehumidifiers. Nice and tidy regulator setup! Cheers Martin!!👍🍻

I'm late to the party here but wow! what a great channel and challenge. I'm defiantly inspired to move out of my brewing comfort zone and some of the advise/experience along the way is invaluable. Half batches, yeast washing and keeping a slant are some I'm going to adopt pretty much instantly. Amazing and please keep it up! I'm watching avidly. Jamie Faram UK Newcastle Upon Tyne

Hi Martin, how did you carbonate post fermintation?
@Stuve7154 жыл бұрын
Just be careful with those push-fit conectors. I set up a similar network but without the regulators, so all 4 kegs at the same pressure. This was not in my keeezer but in a conditioning/carbonation fridge, idea being that after checking for leaks I could set and forget it for a couple of weeks. I used the exact same grey T connectors. Presumably because of the cold temperature, at some point every single retaining collar on every one of the T connectors split, so no compression on the internal O-rings and I lost all the gas in the cylinder. Fortunately it was only a sodastream cylinder not my main one.

I love your videos and descriptions of the styles. Your tips added in round out the presentation nicely. I am a bit disappointed that you no longer list the recipe ingredients, but instead link the recipe to a site which does not actually carry or list the recipe. It would really help with those following to have the written recipe and brew day targets to follow along without distraction.

Another great video! When you mill your grains, for the Clawhammer system, do you find you have better efficiency if you double crush them or mill them very fine? I have the same system and noticed since using it my efficiency has gone down.
@TheHomebrewChallenge4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I do double crush based on Clawhammer’s recommendation and seem to get a consistent efficiency.

Now that you have almost perfect description of the recipe considering the numbers to be easy scalable, how about beer color both in SRM and EBC? Please for the brewers from continental Europe.

Love the videos! It's great seeing you progress through the styles. You might try an eva dry dehumidifier in the keezer to keep the condensation down. Ive had great luck using that in mine.

I'm enjoying these videos! It'd be great to see more in the tasting portion though. Have you considered going through each ingredient and noting what you might be perceiving from them in the aroma and taste? Anything to bring more descriptors to the tasting portion would be great!

I always worry these segments already border on being too long. But yeah I like the suggestion of breaking down the composite parts.

@@TheHomebrewChallenge where do you get the regulators? i am in the US
@richbradley21644 жыл бұрын
Loving this series! You think you could mount those regulators through the front of the wooden collar to control from the outside? I was in Japan last year, they have so many craft beer places and even in the tiny marketplace ones they often have the regulator for each tap next to the tap itself!

That’d be cool. Let the user pick the serving pressure.

I’ve been anxiously waiting for this vid as I’ve had this beer on tap for a couple weeks. Mine is about 5.6% and has a small amount of peet smoked malt.
@TheHomebrewChallenge4 жыл бұрын
Oh wow. How did the smoked malt work out?
@gregmorris20224 жыл бұрын
The amount of smoked malt was very small. The beer has just a hint of flavor from it. I personally like beers with smoked malt, so if I make this again I’d likely add more.

Green screen parts?
@simoncarlsson67514 жыл бұрын
@@TheHomebrewChallenge I apologize if I got it wrong but the two talking head shots around the 1st minute mark has you standing extremely clear in the foreground with the background slightly washed out. To me that looks like the classic greenscreen effect. I recognize it could be your intent to have some sort of Bokeh effect, if that is the case then those specific settings invokes the uncanny valley effect for me personally.
