I love this idea and what she is doing, My boyfriends Dad was from Scotland but passed before he had a chance to teach him any words. So now I have learned the word and how to pronounce Mo Ghry (my love). So from now on I am going to call him that. Thank u so much again!

Absolutely it is! I can be a bit teuch sometimes and it might sound a little more like ca-ratch from me but either way, dialects and accents vary slightly as they do in English, and people will understand! L-yor ..but try to keep the tip of the tongue flat to the roof of your mouth for the L.. more like you would for the word ‘ill’ so maybe try ill-yorr until it feels comfortable enough to shorten. I really hope that helps! Sorry if it has made it even harder haha

Only a sadistic madman would A/ use the utterly alien & inadequate Latin alphabet to spell Gaelic and B/ mangle the phonetics with insane latin alphabet spelling. Just respell everything phonetically just as you do below the ludicrous spelling for god sake.
