"The Scottish Horse" was played by Shand in the Jig selection "The Express"(intro; the Ferry) and brought out on LP plus 2 EP's from this item. The last Shand PMC LP's WERE already stereo(Step We Gaily and Oer The Border,Jimmy's Fancy,Awa'fra'Hame),although first brought out under"MONO".Later only under PCS. Thus, cos people were " wary"to buy stereo items,in fear of having not the right equipment to play them safely. The same was true of the recordings of the Beatles. Must tell you,Ian...my first "stereo LP" of Shand was the" Gateway To the Forth",in stereo as stated.Have played this item hundreds of times on my old equipment. And later on my modern record player,...well...what do you think?...Right! Item didn't prove to be damaged! Commercial tricks!!! Not here, but I'd like to come back to you for info about some 6/8s,played in the50s/60s and later never again.I know about your fabulous knowledge about older stuff, and I even once heard it play by YOU!! I wont write this in notes, but in letters??Most of my "guss-tunes"are Trads.

@@MELODEONMAN52 Yes,and then you wonder, what's behind that???Easy to guess. Particularly around the millennium time,it was sort of standstill.I wrote about this to TTF.New modern tunes only, band A played the new stuff of band B and the other way.( it's BBC who interfers!!!!!!!!!) Good older tunes were hidden away/locked up. An that "Celtic Confectionaries"only is being promoted.BBC had destroyed all of the tracks of the BBC Scottish Variety Orchestra(except for one)!!!!!!!!!!! Greatest shame of the century!!!!!
