❤We love Guardamar. Perfect “Spanish” seaside town. We based ourselves there last year while we were looking around for an apartment to buy nearby

Nice thing for us as non smokers is that Guadmar is a smoking free zone, no more cigarette butts in the sand

Hi Barry, Yeah lovely mate. We stuck it out for 10 years further down the coast and the winter was the best time of the year for us. You can't beat having your taost with tomato and coffee in the morning with the sun on your back in December.

Another great video, only been back in Scotland a week and apart from the weather what we really miss is the fresh produce from the Torrevieja market. Back out in six weeks until we max out our 90 days

Anna and me were there during our last 3 week stay in Torrevieja. We drove around for over an hour (yeah, I know, we should have walked), and we really loved this little town. Somehow this place feels more like a proper city than Torrevieja. Or that's the feeling we got anyway. Thanks for a very nice video. :-)

Guadamar is beautiful but I think they have made it difficult to park on the road that runs parallel to the beach. We used to go to a fantastic restaurant called Jaen, basically all you could eat and drink for €10. I dont think the restaurant is open now its just a bar. The owner Vincent wasnt very well and nearly died from Sepsis, so I think he let the restaurant slide. It was a fantastic place to eat and always packed

Parking can be difficult especially in the summer but it’s a cracking town with a beautiful beach. Thanks for watching!

Fabulous place restaurante Jaen, we were there last week and enjoyed the menu del dia, so much choice, large portions & excellent wine, sadly price gone upto 12€......still what a bargain😊 we will be going back next week😅

@@mirandabarnes6167 So its still open then Mirander. The last 2 times we went it was closed and Vincent was sat in the bar. Did you ever see Vincent senior, he was wonderful, but sadly died a few years ago. Such a character.

I knew straight away that it was Gaurdamar, we go there often when we're over. I'm surprised you didn't see any Red Squirrels in the park , we spotted around 4 or 5 when we were there in Oct , they are very tame and will come onto a picnic bench if you're sitting eating. Fairly scrawny wee things compared to the Reds we have in Scotland though. We've seen the Peacocks outside the park walking doon the pavements too , which was quite funny.

Think my last comment came across a bit tetchy apologies. Great video don't really know gaurdamar as usually go to beach barless la zenia or campoamor or mil palmeras but next time we're over may have a look at guardamar on strength of your video.

Not tetchy at all, fair point lol. Yes, it is lovely, quite different from La Zenia it’s a worth a visit. Thanks for watching!

Hey guys, I miss the blue winter skies that you get in Spain, it doesn't have to be hot as long as the clear blue sky is there. Salou has a great little park on the (now pedestrianised) C. Carles Buigas in the tourist area. It was made from one of Salou's original pine tree camping areas before package holidays came along. There is a pool/stream path to follow with goldfish swimming from pool to pool(if the Herons haven't eaten them all) There is a cafe area too and often kids funfair rides in summer. Slip over to 'old town' Salou and it's typically Spanish, bodegas, cafebars, markethall, everyday shopping and infrastructure and folks live there full time. It's close to industrial/commercial hubs in Tarragona, Reus. Enough of my Judith Chambers travelogues 🧐 Cheers DougT
