Been watching you for years now, always enjoy the content Stuart. As for age, I’m on the younger side of your “spectrum” as it were. As for camping food solo, for a quick meal, I like to make roast beef and pepperjack cheese sandwiches grilled on a fire. Honey Ham and Munster cheese too. Otherwise venison bacon, eggs and cheese on a toasted muffin. Delicious!

I know it sounds bonkers but it works with bacon - if you add some water when frying it (carefully) then it helps brown and crisp it up and reduce chance of it sticking.

I use a wire cheese slicer to cut spam. It gives a more uniform cut.

I'm 70 so I think I win. I dislike things about younger people's videos; intros with dramatic walking, ugly music playing for no reason, snide almost political remarks, I'm smarter than others attitudes. Yours is great. Glad to see a well-seasoned pan. I do much like you--except a WWI era meatcan (handle over-balances it when empty!) and I carry crisco in a condiment cup or fry a few rashers for the fat. Also I do not like baked beans, prefer plain white or brown. I use the fork & spoon that came with the meatcan for cooking & eating and carry a SAK ("Camper"). If I boil water for coffee anyway I make boiled coffee. I carry ground coffee in in 35mm plastic film cans.
