There is nothing wrong with doing something "odd" like talking to a parking meter. When my son was a baby, I had a BRILLIANT idea! I had won tix to the international boat show at the Intn'l Center in Toronto. I emptied a bunch of packs of vanilla pudding into an empty mayo jar (with label still on), sat near the Yachts (where the "stuffy people" go) and fed my son right from the jar! Oh my God!! The looks and reactions I saw, people who walked into things because they were staring, was worth it! I have a photo of this and wish I could share it here, but alas. So, "odd" can sometimes be intentional and pure comedy! Thanks and praise from Peterborough Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️

Never ceases to amaze me that famous people, who were inaccessible in life, are eventually reduced to a small stone in a lonely place. Reassuring (for those who lived small lives), and humbling (for those who had it all).

Me too. I’d spend my weekends and summers with my grandparents in the early 70. They lived at 168 Sherman Ave in Inwood section of Manhattan. Got to watch all the shows my parents wouldn’t let me at home. The Odd Couple was one, Maude, Sanford and Sons, All in the Family. It was good to be a single digit kid in the early 70s.

Thank you for a wonderful story and tribute to a great actor. I loved The Odd Couple and never missed a show. I've seen Jack Klugman's grave at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village, so it was nice to visit Mr. Randall's. I was shocked, though, there wasn't a more fitting tombstone to honor this truly magnificent actor. It made me sad.

Yeah, 'Kate & Allie' was a sort of a female version of 'The Odd Couple,' except it centred around women, rather than men (& also that one included the 2 protagonists' children).

This was one of the funniest shows on TV and I think everyone of us knows a Felix and Oscar couple. They were fantastic actors and a perfect match for the roles they played. What a beautiful cemetery. Sorry you had to walk up that crummy hill. You're a real trooper. It always amazes me the humble graves that some of these huge actors have. I always talk to myself btw, that's because I have no one else to talk to 😆I'd love to see the photos your friend has. This was a great video, Scott. I miss him and Jack Klugman. Thank you for sharing. It is funny I started watching the Odd Couple this week. I was missing my Dad and I felt like watching it. My Dad was old school New York. I have had such a awful week and this made my day. Tony Randall was great in Pillow Talk. He was funny. There is a episode of The Odd Couple where Felix wanted to buy a grave plot. He desperately wanted it near a babbling brook. I watched that episode today. It was the first thing I thought of when your video came across my feed. Was there a babbling brook?

I remember seeing Tony Randall in the 1980s in Toronto, walking down Yonge Street (south of Dundas St.) He was with a bunch of people carrying banners and promoting a new theatre show he was starring in (I think it was Music Man) he was smiling away and dancing as he walked, he seemed to have such energy and happiness; his humble grave reminds me Frank Sinatra's small grave stone.

There was an old tv show on in the 50s and 60s called "What's My Line?" where a panel of people tried to guess random people's jobs, but each episode had a famous mystery guest and the panel put on blindfolds and by a series of questions had to guess who the famous person was. I always loved when Tony Randall was on What's My Line.

The Odd Couple tv show was based off the movie. I love movies with Jack and Walter. Excellent movie I recommend highly. The Odd Couple is a 1968 American comedy film directed by Gene Saks, produced by Howard W. Koch and written by Neil Simon, based on his 1965 play. It stars Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau as two divorced men - neurotic neat-freak Felix Unger and fun-loving slob Oscar Madison - who decide to live together. The tv show was also a big hit.
