I’m a huge fan of Chadwick Boseman, I have never been able to talk about him, it’s really hard I break out in tears. He had a hard fight battle with his cancer even his brother had cancer and beat it. I wrote a letter to his mother to tell her why her son was so special to me. And she told me thank you . I haven’t been able to watch any of his movies since he’s been gone. God bless them all.

In Jan.2013 at Union Sation in L.A. Ca. i and someone i was with were waiting to catch our train. I glanced and noticed there was a photo shoot taking place (being a man into fashion it struck my attention) after about 10 minutes later a lady approached me to ask if i would join the shoot and of course i said yes. The shoot involved myself and another man of color and we were told to interact with one another. i remember he was so nice! I did not know who he was at the time but happen to be Chadwick Boseman. The shoot was in conjunction with his film "42" The Jackie Robinson Story which was to be released that spring. For me personally the entire moment was so surreal especially to be chosen from hundreds of people that were coming and going. I just remember how kind Chadwick was. I still have the contact information that was handed to me . When i heard that he passed my mind went back to that special moment in my life which for more than one reason i thank The Almighty GOD!! Thank you JESUS!!

Scott, I believe you are correct....everyone wants to be remembered..no one wants to ever be forgotten and I've always heard it said that " A person can die twice...once when the actual event happens and the 2nd time is when their name is never spoken". To me, that's very sad!! In my prayers at night, I make it a personal mission to pray for those who are still with us in the world by saying to God "Please protect everyone everywhere" and I also ask that those who have passed, no matter when, Rest In Peace, Always!! My mom and Chadwicks father's sister were very good friends sunce college. When he passed, his Aunt didn't even know he was sick. His parents believed he would be okay until about 6 months before he passed and his parents went to California and didn't return till after his death. His aunt had all of the elderly ladies going to see his movies. I remember when my mom told me to go see The Jackie Robinson story because her friends nephew was the star. I was like, yea right.😅😅😅 Little did I know. I truly wish he had lived a longer life, but what a legacy he left in his short career🌹 My mother is going to take my kids to see her this summer. I hope to hear many stories about him. R i p Chad
