Hi Scott: Just wanted to pass on that the first Tim Hortons store on Ottawa Street in Hamilton Ontario was rebuilt and a museum of the history of Tim Horton and the stores along with many artifacts was added to a second story above the store, Admission is free to go upstairs and visit the museum. It opened in Januzry 2015. There is a statue of Tim Horton outside the store. Great way to enjoy a cup of coffee and browse this museum. Like your maple leaf face mask, Enjoyed learning more about Tim Horton! Great video!

Scott, thank you once again for these videos. I loved Tim. He played here in Buffalo from 1972 until his tragic death in 1974. I was in 4th grade and we found out the next day when our lunch lady told us. I watched the game the night before on Buffalo TV. Tim got the 3rd star that night even though he sat out the 3rd period due to his broken jaw he got earlier in the week at practice. My good friend Paul Wieland, who was the PR Director for the Sabres, got the call from the OPP around 4AM notifying him that Tim had died. It was Paul's job to notify Punch Imlach and the rest of the team. The Sabres had to play that night at home vs the Flames and rallied from a 4-1 deficit to tie the game. The players all wore black armbands and many of them wept throughout the game. The car he was driving was given to him by Punch Imlach as a bonus for not retiring. Supposedly, it haunted Punch until his own death. Tim meant so much to us down here in Buffalo. We miss him so much. Thank you again for showing me all these great sites of the people I loved. We will meet one day so I can thank you personally. Until then, be well.

I remember that game well! The late Ted Darling, "voice of the Buffalo Sabres" broke down crying when the PA announcer called for a moment of silence. Both teams, the Buffalo Sabres and the Atlanta Flames wore black arm bands in memorial to the fallen Sabre. RIP Tim horton.

I live in western New York just a short drive from the Canadian border. We have Tim Horton's every where here. Drinking a cup now. Around here if anyone says they are going out for coffee, we pretty much know where ther are going. Better than Dunkin and Star bucks in my opinion. Another awesome video.

My dad was an art dealer and had many client in the NHL. Tim was one of his customers. I remember that morning waking up and hearing on the radio that Tim died in an auto accident on the QEW Highway in St. Catherine's Ont on Feb 21st, 1974. I was 12. He was driving his Ford Pantera that Punch Imlach bought him. Tim played for Buffalo and was headed back home to Buffalo after a game with the Leafs. My dad and I attended Tim's funeral. I remember the white hurst and many of the leafs were pallbearers. Above his grave was a green tent that protected the casket from snow and eliminates of the weather. For a full year after Tim passed away the Toronto Maple Leaf players all wore black arm banners in tribute to Tim. I think I was the only kid at the funeral which had hundreds of people in attendance. I have some photos of Tim and my dad and me and in some of the pictures was Frank Mahovlich who was also at my dad's gallery.

In this you mention Mike Myers, my older brother went to school with Scott Myers, Mike's brother. Herron Vally and Victoria Park HS. I used to play Fri night pick up hockey at Pickwick Ice Rink in Burbank, Ca he was still writing the 1st Auston Powers movie. Hey Scott. Very interesting video. I never knew who Tim Horton was. Didn't even know he was a hockey player! That's pretty cool. Gordie Howe had a short lived restaurant chain here in Michigan. It closed up after he died. Gordie Howe was a defenseman for the Detroit Red Wings back in the '50s, and for all I know, probably went up against Tim Horton and the Toronto Maple Leafs! Ain't hockey great?! I love it. Love your videos! Keep on rockin'!
