Corey Ian Haim (December 23, 1971 - March 10, 2010) was a Canadian actor. He starred in a number of 1980s films, such as Lucas, Silver Bullet, Murphy's Romance, License to Drive and Dream a Little Dream. His role alongside Corey Feldman in The Lost Boys made him a household name. Known as The Two Coreys, the duo became 1980s icons and appeared together in seven movies, later starring in the A&E American reality show The Two Coreys.
Corey Haim was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Judy Haim, an Israeli-born data processor, and Bernie Haim, a clothing sales representative. He has a sister, Carol, and a half-brother, Daniel. His family is Jewish. He was raised mostly in Willowdale.
Corey appeared in 26 episodes of the early 1980s Canadian series The Edison Twins (1982). He broke into the film industry in 1984, playing a young child caught up in a family war in the movie Firstborn (1984). The following year, he starred in the TV movie A Time to Live (1985), for which he received a Young Artist Award, appeared in the comedies Secret Admirer (1985) and Murphy's Romance (1985), and had the leading role, Marty Coslaw , in the Stephen King werewolf film Silver Bullet (1985). Lucas (1986), in which he starred alongside Kerri Green and Winona Ryder, showed his acting abilities, with praise coming particularly from Roger Ebert.
In 1987, he had a breakthrough when he played one of the major roles, Sam Emerson, in Joel Schumacher's The Lost Boys (1987). He later starred in the comedy films License to Drive (1988) and Dream a Little Dream (1989), the horror movie Watchers (1988), and the science fiction action drama Prayer of the Rollerboys (1990). Many of his 1990s and 2000s roles were in direct-to-video releases, and he also had a cameo in the action film Crank: High Voltage (2009). His last two films were The Hostage Game (2010) and Decisions (2011).
He died suddenly on March 10, 2010 in Burbank, California, of pneumonia.

When I was 10 years old I loved Corey Haim so much that I wrote him a letter. I was surprised when a few weeks later an autographed picture post card arrived and he had signed my name on it. RIP Corey Haim 🙏 🕊 He was so kind and made me a lifelong fan.

He was one of the most charismatic child actors ever and having been a child of the 80s, we all wanted to be just like Corey.

Corey Haim had really kind eyes and a sweet, open face. He seemed like a genuinely nice person, gone way too soon.

Only problem I have with, “we know who abused him” and with such self assurance is, she said herself, she actually does not know for sure. I’m just saying, A sexual abuse victim can and often does end up with more then one abuser. Sadly abusers are adept predators. Also, Seems to me that CH was already acting out sexually before this Dominic creep came around.... and that does in fact point to earlier abuse. Also Corey may not of been willing to share this information with his family. So who knows.. I wish he was still here to tell his story, and I hope everyone would of believed him. What ever it was it definitely tormented him to an early grave pneumonia or not. Which again, fits with holding in and internalizing something dark and painful, as many sexual abuse victims do. Also just because CS was 19 at the time doesn’t make him automatically innocent, Plenty of teens commit horrifying crimes, and Charlie has shown himself to be a complete creep in many ways.

I visited Corey's grave in 2011 or so and I left the little CH pendant that is shown on the video (though someone has put it on a chain now, I left it inside a red plastic heart box). Just wanted to say how touched I am to see it still there. I live in the UK and made a special trip to Toronto (and all the way out of town, on a day when the trains weren't working properly and got very sunburnt on the long walk) just to visit him. Worth every second.

I had the chance to meet Winona a couple of months ago on the Stranger Things set... she introduced herself to me. Such a nice, down to earth woman and not your typical actress. Hollywood didn’t change her. She still goes by Noni!

My deepest condolences to the Haim family. I grew up with Corey in my heart and 33 yrs later still feel the same. Not because he was famous but because of the incredible sweetness and genuine heart he had. I recently watched The two Corey's and struggled with what I saw. Again felt that he was being exploited for ratings and that upset me a lot. It was clear that all he wanted was a normal life, a normal girl to love him and just to be a good person, which he already was. Cari thank you for sharing your memories with us. We all miss him so much so I can only imagine the sadness your family has endured. Corey was a truly special person. His kindness and magic on screen and off has left a lasting impression on so many and I know I will never forget him ♥️ I wish I lived close enough to lay some flowers on his grave but Canada is a long way from my home in the UK. My best wishes to the Haim family 🌷🌻🌼🥀♥️ xxxx
