I always loved dusters and Darts...I do remember there was a time when they were not wanted by hot rodders..Maybe not but my friends when I was growing up pulled Cudas out of junk yards and challengers that had so much rust here in Pennsylvania that welding and sheet metal and time was the only thing that saved them..I really wish those cars were around here somewhere.Great video guys..Truly some good work . That is such an awesome project. I'm always impressed by what you two get done. For the motor mounts, when I asked years ago about using a torque arm/strap I was told to install an additional bolt/nut to keep the halves together. I'd have to imagine if I ever do that I'd need to add a safety wire or tack weld to the nut/bolt to keep it from losening up.

I had a fuck up like that on a 72 c10 and we got the modor mounts on the worng sides the made a 4 row radiator work out of my 79 and also used bits of the exhaust off my 79 atomadic truck making it work on 72 c10

@jeffkosiba1071 my W2 Race heads have two different exhaust patterns to choose from. The wider pattern is for really hogged out high flow heads. Mine are not, they flowed 255cfm just like they should in non-ported form.

I didn't need race ported heads, super high compression, or a stroker engine. I know I got a roller cam and w2 heads, but who wouldn't want those upgrades on any small block?

I’m not sure why you didn’t hammer the hell out of that tube to get more clearance and less heat on the steering box. I never met a header that didn’t need to be dimpled up to clear a starter or something. Ever watch engine masters? Watch the header bash episode. They do all kinds of dyno testing. Guess what? Bashing the s**t out of your headers results in EXACTLY ZERO horsepower loss! 😊 KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!! My wife makes great cookies but she’s out of town to spend time with her mom a lot so I might have to hit Anna up. 😉

Did yall see that big block, 72 or 73 Duster, that Dylan McCool just bought? Then kept going on and on about getting screwed, because there's problems with the engine. Thinking he got screwed, because he paid a whopping $7,500 dollars for it, in an auction. It looks like somebody completely restored it, inside and out, built the big block, put it in, and it wouldnt run right. Lol There's no rust on it that i could see. Super nice car, but the color is hideous. Its like that teal color, that you'd see on a tri-five Chevrolet. Its a color, that only looks good on the tri-fives. Lol. Oh yeah, its also got a new, fully upraded suspension in it. I hope he was just trying to be funny, by whining about that price. Either that, or he's the biggest cheap skate, that Ive ever seen! 😂
