I appreciate you pointing out the mistakes one might see and why you may choose to not fiddle with it! I needed to hear that. It was great seeing how you overcame the accidental dripping of dark color! As a photographer, it was great to see the new setup, light and angles. Looks professional. I am sure the production end is a bear to deal with as well as all that harddrive space! Thanks for all you do for us!

Hi, great video, I also bought your course which is outstanding! I am having a small problem with the paper buckling. I use the 3m tape you do but my paper buckles, I am not using wood but gatorboard. Would using wood make a big difference?

Thank you for a great tutorial. I have trouble getting shadows right and I am fighting with the temptation to overwork details into a painting. So thanks for demonstrating that. The razor blade scares me, but I love the result. I’m going to join your Patreon after midnight here in California - wait to be billed on the 1st of the month.

@alanparker49893 жыл бұрын
Thank you Scott for sharing your talent so graciously. Somewhat of an irrelevant question maybe but what tape do you use to hold your paper down. Other than the brown parcel tape, everything I have used just detaches when I add as much water as you use. Love your work BTW.
@ScottSwinson3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan! I know tape can be so frustrating! The tape I have found to be the best is 3M (scotch) magic tape. In a green packet. The widest one you can get. It works really well if you put 1/4-1/3 of the width onto the paper and 2/3-3/4 onto the mdf board! If your board is dry and you push it on hard everywhere then it is all good! You can of course also pre-stretch with the brown craft tape or gum tape what ever you want to call it. Hope that helps! 👍👍
@loishobley36383 жыл бұрын
Lovely results! What is your paper and process for the paper? Maybe this has been asked already...thanks!

Hi Carol, glad you liked it. The paints, paper and brushes used are always in the description. I used an a3 piece of arches cold pressed 300gsm paper and used yellow ochre, raw umber, cobalt blue, mix of cobalt blue snd light red and Payne’s grey. 👍👍
