Just wanted to say, your work has inspired me to try my hand at restoring some of my dad's old clubs (he has over 200+ Ping putters in his basement). I was curious, what do you use during the Cerakote paint and bake process to keep the club heads upright that can also withstand the heat of the oven?

I use to use old mallet putter heads. Had a few where the hosel slots were just perfect for a piece of steel rod or an old piece of shaft to hang it straight up. Now I use some old graphite blocks I had from pouring silver and gold.

I see you normally put white stuff to make the insert stick. This time it was black 🤯 what did you use?!
@igolf9064 ай бұрын
Essentially the same thing, but black. Just another silicone. Customer wanted it all blacked out.

I love your work and appreciate the links. This is something I am getting into and I was curious, you have two wheels linked below. Do I need both wheels or just the first one linked? And if both are needed what would you use first then second?

*convolute wheels

Either or. I just put up options. These are the cheaper option also. amzn.to/4bL2p9D

did you get a new copper insert?
@igolf90610 ай бұрын
No, this was the factory insert. Face was milled.
@redhed977610 ай бұрын
@@igolf906 did you blast the face after milling ? stunning results !!
@igolf90610 ай бұрын
The insert got a light glass bead blast, yes. The rest of the face was blasted for typical cerakote prep.

How much did you pay for O'HARE milling.
@igolf90610 ай бұрын
With shipping its about $40-$45 for a face mill.

The silicone is and was an integral part of this putter. This is not a proper restore. Also not a Robert Bettinardi putter. Do not do this to any SC putter leave them as is unless severely damaged your killing the value.

You either posted on the wrong video, or didn't watch it.
@shmirginhymer18676 ай бұрын
Let's see, no where in the title, description, or video itself does he mention it's a Bettinardi. Two, igolf906 is right, did you even watch the video? Silicone behind the insert and to fill.
