This piece is dedicated to a friend who died too young. Scotty and I were friends back in high school who lost touch until Facebook brought us back together. He started doing music pretty seriously soon before he died in a motorcycle accident. In high school, he and I would playfully argue about who was the best guitarist. For Scotty, it was Ted Nugent and for me, it was Jimmy Page. I think we both changed our minds in later years. Anyway, I sometime feel like Scotty comes through in some of the music I do. We both loved the blues. So, this is for Michael "Scotty" McDonald.
I used BIAB for the drums, electric piano, and 2 rhythm guitars and brought those tracks into Reaper. I played the lead guitar part via my midi keyboard using custom guitars from Electric Sunburst Deluxe and Guitar Rig 6. It was all mixed and rendered in Reaper.
