I wish I had five more minutes to walk my 19 year old to his first day of kindergarten, to cheer as I watched him play in his first soccer game, to watch him score his first touchdown, to watch him drive his first car, to watch him be crowned the Homecoming King, to help him pick out his Senior prom tux, to walk him onto the field for his last football game as a Senior and to watch him take that graduation walk. My husband and I took him to college last August. He’s a Morehouse man now and we are so proud of him. I still haven’t gotten used to his empty, clean bedroom yet or the lack of loud teenage boy sounds in our home. I find myself wishing I had five more minutes to read “The Giving Tree” to my little man again.

People seem to love country music because it so relatable! They sing songs about real things that happen in life...no matter where u grew-up. I see u get very teary-eyed when a song is about family, and the circle of life! That is what country music focuses on the most! They know how to pull at people's heart strings! This style of music is very America driven 🇺🇸

You were not crying alone beautiful. I was crying like a baby right along with you. My husband and father of my teen daughters passed away on 1/10/20 and this really got me. You were right when you said we don't appreciate the little things like we should. I wish I had five more mins with him right now to make him know how loved and cherished he was in our hearts. I ask God for a few more minutes with him every night. He was my puzzle piece.

Not gonna lie that line where he said that he handed in the helmet and he's just standing at the fifty yard line in the last game of his high school career and hes trying to hold that moment because the next time to be able to come in he'd have to buy a ticket just hit different. Then the part with the grandpa is obviously a gut punch.

I think you'll really like George Jone's "Who's gonna fill their shoes" it's a bit on the older side, but it's a classic! Either that or "Mama tried" by Merle Haggard, two of country's legends with two great songs! Again, they're both older, but I figure since you're gaining love for country, why not give some of the older songs a try?
