When I was racing BMX in the 1980’s, 16” bikes were called pit-bikes and everybody had them. These are what we’d thrash around on so we didn’t wreck our racing bikes. Some 16” Skyway mags, Vector handlebars and a sweet laid back seat post made the bike “big” enough for anyone to ride.

They were common all the way into the mid-2000s! I rode them and raced them as a kid for years

@@Salty-vl1hj same concept. back in the 70s i believe mini dirt bikes started popping up to be ridden around the pits. pit bmx bikes were the same idea

The videos lately have been great and it has really got me motivated to just go and have fun on my bmx again! Keep it up fellas. I had brain cancer in 2016 and it’s been depressing getting back into riding due to my lack of coordination, as I am at a level I was at 15 years ago. This channel makes me realise how fun bmx can be and that bmx doesn’t need to be the hardest tricks all the time. It’s just about fun! 🤘🏼

Wishing the best for you, wherever you are. 2018/2019 I did 12 rounds of chemo for Hodgkins lymphoma scariest thing I've ever been through. Started riding my bike a little bit again, but I mainly enjoy wrenching these days. Finished a 1966 Schwinn Stingray, and a 1965 Huffy Firestone 500 2 recently. Continued good health for you, 👍. And you are awesome.

I came home to watch the boys at Woodward and when I got there tonight someone had broken into my house and stole my custom Cult right out of my bedroom. I'm so upset. It had my dog painted on the frame with his nickname turned into a custom logo also painted on it. I got into BMX because of Scotty and the boys inspiring to get off my a** and get in shape. This is really crappy. Thanks for the videos guys. Your the best! F***!

Dont lie scott, we did have 16s, haro had some of the earliest man strength 16s and i remember em, and we are pretty much the same age, you hop whip monster, i remember your hop whip tutorial when i was working on em, your the goat man. Hope i can meet you one day scott, i live in "macneil land" canada british columbia, island boy. Yes we have a ton of parks, but basically zero indoor and 90% precipitation all year, rainforest. Come visit in the summer, we have some absolute banger parks here.
