I work in a theatre. Dry, non-lubed condoms are always used to cover microphone packs to keep them from getting sweaty. That way they stay dry and will work for many years (if taken care of).

3:30 To answer Panda's question, that is A way for narcolepsy to work, assuming that it isn't fake, he probably has a condition called cataplexy which is often found with narcolepsy. Cataplexy is often triggered by strong emotions, stuff like fear, anger, stress, excitement, etc. When Cataplexy is triggered it causes a loss of muscle tone which causes weakness this weakness can vary in severity with more severe episodes leading to stuff similar to what was shown.

@@furygeist Ya it can be, but those are tend to be more severe cases, though it should also be said that even in the most severe of cases the person remains fully conscious after the episode begins, in other words they experience sleep paralysis while being fully conscious and the episodes can last from just a few moments to minutes at most. Another thing is that in more severe cases the people are often taught or learn to find a safe place to collapse so that they can reduce the damage the body might take from the collapse. Speaking from personal experience (Though my cataplexy isn't as severe as what is shown) it can be scary to sudden feel the strength leave your body.

super late to this but hi, narcoleptic here! some of us have cataplexy (the sudden loss of muscle tone) and some of us don’t. I personally don’t have cataplexy, but it can be triggered by strong emotions, so it’s possible that video was real! sleep attacks are relentless and unforgiving. they’re insanely hard to fight long enough until you’re in a safe place to sleep. I’ve had them while driving and at work. I had one during my wound care clinical and it was rough. stimulants can help. I was on modafinil 1x daily in the morning and ritalin as needed throughout the day, but my heart decided it wasn’t a fan lmao.
