When Unicron creates his heralds, he can go out of his way and make them look NOTHING like their former selves, both in attitude and outside appearance. Galvatron is a rare case because he somewhat retained Megatron's appearance and goals, but in comparison Cyclonus and Scourge were nothing like their former selves. Scourge in Rise of the Beasts could have been a completely different character and type of Transformer altogether before Unicron corrupted and transformed him. What he used to be is limited only to your imagination, because when Optimus killed him, he was nothing more than Scourge, who died doing his eternal master's bidding.

I'd say with how Unicron is depicted in stuff like this film? Becoming a Herald of Unicron is like being tainted by the powers of the Chaos Gods in 40k. His taint bleeds into EVERYTHING when he gets his hands on you. Your mind. Your body. Your soul. Your entire being gets twisted around to become a puppet to Unicron's will. And the worst part is that instead of destroying your mind, he makes you embrace this enslavement of your soul instead.

It was planned that this scourge in rotb was bayverse optimus, a really old script leak once stated it and i saw an official 3d model and the back had entire parts of Bayverse Prime... the pipes were the exact same just different colors and a bit higher up the calves were nearly the exact same too and scourges head from the back looks exactly like optimus... sadly they changed that, i would've loved it, it could've still worked fully fine as a reboot and new beginning for the TF universe

I would go so far as to say that the two can belong together, and Transformers can fit in the Warhammer 40k universe as their own playable race. They have powerful plasma and laser weaponry, strong armor and builds, high speed, some of them like Mirage have powers, their alt modes allow them to either blend in or fly, some have more than two alt modes, and don’t forget about Combiners and Titans. Metroplex is a city block that transforms into a massive fortress robot, Tidal Wave is made of TWO aircraft carriers combined together, G1 Scorponok is a massive scorpion, etc.

It’s even hinted in the movie when Unicron tells Scourge “… or else you will wish you died with the rest of your planet,” implying that Unicron consumed Scourge’s homeworld and kind. Was this world Unicron consumed Earth from the Bayverse timeline? Is Scourge the only surviving Bayverse character?

What really happened: Unicron found Scourge's planet and destroys it, but somehow, Scourge survived or was spared and didn't die along with his planet and had been forced to serve unicron because in the actual movie, there's a part where scourge shows unicron only half of the transwarp key and gets tortured by unicron who's pissed at him for not getting him the full key and says that if you don't find me the rest, "you will wish that you had died along with the rest of your planet" meaning that Unicrkn literally destroyed his planet but spared scourge and made him work for unicron and controls him.

Since in the film it was said that unicorn was inter dimensional that is a perfect way to combine the Bayverse and Knight/Caple era. With that being said Unicron should have devoured Bayverse earth but before he does that, he resurrects Lockdown and Reformats him into Scourge. And the reason Unicron resurrects lockdown and not recruits / reformats Megatron is because Unicron knew that in other timelines Megatron/Galvatron would try to betray him, so instead it only made sense for Unicron to resurrect the one character who had no affiliation / allegiance. Lockdown.

My guy, it was planned in an old script that scourge was Bayverse optimus, but then it got leaked and they changed it... no joke, scourge was supposed to be bayverse TLK optimus i saw an official 3d model of scourge and downloaded it, i did the same with TLK optimus.... the entire back was nearly a 1:1 copy of TLKs optimus, the back of his legs also look like 1:1 copies of TLK just changed a bit.... and scourges head was the exact same as TLK prime just without the ears

Airrazor's appearance of rust-like corruption was very like the Dark Energon resurrected undead (in one episode several of Megatron's Vehicon troopers became infected and attacked and in turn infected others, like zombies).

I really like the lady who did the voice explaining this to us. She did. Great job. It was an nice and easy listen. And I loved to learn all of this about him. I haven't seen the movie yet. So I'll ignore the spoilers and enjoy the movie. It's nice to know the villain so super tough. One thing in sick of though is with each FIRST transformers movie in Michael Bay made this huge mistake in his first transformers movie they always under power Optimus prime and make him smaller than then the villain. Which I so stupid because in the cartoons. Prime was the same size as Megatron and jus as strong if not stronger.. Michael Bay's first transformers that pissed off a lot of fans. And he corrected that in the 2nd movie. Making them the same size finally which should have been a case from the very start of the first movie... Stop doing that. Make prime the same size form the start

Nah Attention to detail is key. Apelinq didn’t have to be man handled like that however, Scourge charged his cannon’s power then shot into Ape’s body. Mirage did not tank his shots as in Scourge literally blowing off mirage’s limbs leaving just his torso which is what he made the exo suit from. Last, Optimus is not just an autobot or normal bot he’s a highly superior prime body. Scourge didn’t charge his canon like he did with Apeling cz he had to shoo it quickly cz they were in hand to hand combat. Keep in mind those same blast from far distance literally shot mirage’s limbs off.(who is a normal bot.) so the movie did make since.

Eg marige ok not a f1 car something else that was jazz form , scourge a alien jet ? , wheeljack a Italian sports car but a comby van why . The same could be said in the MICHELE BAY FILM'S.
