Scourge was an intriguing character. His development was started by a lucky injection of energy from the Master Emerald and driven further by an existential search for an identity separate from Sonic. He went from being a chump to turning into a worldwide threat. He was fun while he was here. Solid video, man.

The only two main sonic villains are Scourge and sonic exe to make a strong emotional impact on the canon characters. One killed Sonic’s loved ones with his body in different timelines and the other can beat him in a one on one.

As cool as he is (coming from someone who hasn't read any comic yet...sad and poor)...I can't see SEGA wanting him, even if they owned him completely outright (which they should but Archie was dumb and Kenders is selfish and ugly and dumb), because SEGA really doesn't like ANYTHING made from American writers. I totally love Scourge the hedgehog. But it's kinda sad to see that he gets overlooked by Sonic and the other guys and somehow got underrated. I'm just saying If someone is asking "who's your favorite bad guy of Sonic?", there is as good as NO ONE who would say "Scourge the hedgehog" first. Because there are indeed other cool villains in the Sonic world, like Mephiles the dark or Dr.Eggman (because he's the first character who comes in mind, when it comes to Sonic's bad guys). But in my opinion is Scourge the hedgehog a brilliant and interesting person, with a really good technic to get what he wants. And that's why I love this character!

Penders' claim to Scourge in particular is shaky at best since Evil Sonic is too derivative to be trademarked, and Scourge himself was created by Ian Flynn. Sega could easily take Scourge back.
