This reminds me of my ex girlfriend. I never saw her in person as we live across the country and it's been 9 months since I've ever even heard from her but she's still the one who pops up when I hear love poems.

I think y'all would like this, I wrote it & it relates so much The Snow Globe I Broke💦 The most beautiful sight, it seems, is water running over the bare skin of someone you love like tomorrow's pieces are missing because when nature meets your body like that, the world around you starts to tingle and the scene fits together like the inside of a snow globe dancing through the water, perfect enough that you cannot touch it until you break through the glass, and suddenly, everything is ruined. The untouchable hope you thrived on has been cast out, thrown through the holes into the glass, but all the same, you've never heard something so beautiful. Your passion still beats like a 40's record, the squirrels still cry out, patting their innocent little paws on your feet. Magic lasts past the ellipse, the hidden dream draws you out of your sphere compelling you to be in this moment to such an extent that the globe rebuilds itself and for a lone second, you see it again. You can see the water droplets trickle down his left arm, you still know him like you know your middle name. Now, it isn't the same. You can see the cracks in the glass and you understand that you created them, your lightning has been striking in the same place and his rugged scars feel like poison to your fingertips; you never meant to hurt him, to hurt us. You only know that now you can't run your fingers through the water the same way. He's a little bit further under now, and every time you reach out you push him down, closer to the rocks.
