Scout Vespers

Boy Scout Vespers or Scout Vespers is a traditional Scouting song. The tune is that of "O Tannenbaum/O, Christmas Tree". The song is usually sung at the end of the evening campfire, often as people are filing out of the fire circle. Often it will be sung by alternating singing the lyrics and humming the tune. The song is occasionally followed by a spoken benediction such as, "May the great Master of all Scouts be with us till' we meet again".

for some odd reason, at the end of each camping trip, I look forward to this so much! I always loved the feeling of unity in singing one song which is almost a pledge to being a good person and member of the Boy Scouts Of America. I also love the part where it starts with “I love you mom I love you dad” Those next lyrics are always such a sweet ode to your father and mother!
