I don't know if you've answered this before, but what do you wear while you're out filming? Camo, reflective vest, or what?
@RWJP8 жыл бұрын
+ERRM Scout tends to wear as much, if not more camo than all the other players on site. Helps him get the best footage if he isn't giving away players positions with reflective vests!
@ERRM8 жыл бұрын
***** I was hoping it wasn't a reflective vest. I know some games here in the US, some camera men and officials wear bright colors as to not be mistaken for a player.

You're lucky scout, in the u.s of a we have nothing like this field. At best we have a few in California,Texas, and Florida where theirs pros but not much to pick from where I live. Thankfully I have 80 acres tho so I just invite friends over
@scoutthedoggie8 жыл бұрын
+Jaxson Goeden I don't think players here realise just how lucky they are, players here think that if they go to the USA, then they will find better sites. However, all of the American visitors we have had, said that the sites here in the UK were far better than in the US. You are very lucky to have 80 acres to use, with that you could start a business "Jaxson's Airsoft" Oh, you asked about the distance the snipers were shooting, in this video they are hitting targets who were at 40+ meters, though the rifles they use are set up to hit targets much further away.

What kind of pressure is in these sniper rifles? I mean, they seem to be hitting targets from quite the distance.
@scoutthedoggie8 жыл бұрын
+NovakGoran All the sniper rifles here are optimised to hit face sized targets from 100 meters, they do go much further than that. They are powered by CO2, with at most 500FPS. These guys spend a lot of cash upgrading the rifles and then spend many hours / days on the site test range setting the guns to give the best possible range and accuracy. So in my videos, you seldom see the targets being hit, because the target is so far away and usually wearing camo. With ease, I could add in staged scope cam video, with computer generated cross hairs, it would be easy to do, many other KZbinrs already do so, but then I know it would be fake, where as all that you see in these videos is real. Thanks for watching and commenting.

+scoutthedoggie Caveat: I stopped playing about the time when the old ASCUK forums went down so I haven't tried a Polar Star-based rifle, or an R / Flat hop system. I did however, use a laser range finder for sighting purposes, and I can't remember a notably accurate AEG or bolt action I haven't upgraded to our old site limits. I'm deffo no expert.....but I did have a lot of experience. I've used a lot of upgraded AEGs and bolt-actions (CO2 and Gas as well as spring) and I can safely say that I have never seen a rifle running at 500fps consistently hitting an A4 sheet of paper at 100m. Even with the most consistent of my batch (VSR with the upgraded hop, 6.01 barrel, zero trigger and all that crap) shooting SGM's I could only guarantee a head shot out to maybe 80m in extremely good conditions with a wee bit of luck.. I've achieved some consistency (body shots) from 80-90m with APS96 and Firefly hop (which was a bugger to source and even worse to set up) but it was running a wee bit hotter than 2.3j/500 fps .2g and subsequently couldn't be skirmished. I'd love to know how people are getting rifles that consistent, and what ammo they're using these days. I would swear blind that it couldn't be done (at least at 500fps given the ammo I'm familiar with) but I'm open minded on the subject and considering getting back into airsoft so an update would be much appreciated :)
@MrAirsoftsniperONE8 жыл бұрын
+Dave Thompson Well, you should give AirsoftSniperForum a look! It's a forum dedicated to airsoft sniping and optimizing performance. I would consider many regular users there to be scholars in the subject of airsoft. On ammo, a few players use .66g high-precision ball bearings as ammo. Their tolerances are so tight, you can use a 5.98mm inner diameter barrel with no worries. But they do run about 20 cents (USD) per bb, wholesale... look up Careful if you'd like to learn more about this, he's the resident expert on this kind of stuff.

Hey scout on average what distance are the shots they take?
@scoutthedoggie6 ай бұрын
Most of the time targets are 40m or so away, though they can hit targets 70m away
@TheTymmster8 жыл бұрын
hey scout why it seems that in the place u guys play people don't to cheat, what do you guys do so people don't cheat? Where i play it doesn't matter that i hit them with agrenade shell they don't count the hits how can I deal with tho stuff?
@scoutthedoggie6 ай бұрын
We are strict with enforcing the game rules and have many marshals watching players for any signs of cheating, if a player suspects another of cheating, they can speak to a marshal who will them watch the subject and test shot them with a sniper rifle in game, if the suspect does not declare the hit, they are spoken to, later in game they will be test shot at again, if they don't call it, they are removed from the game, if hit a third time and don't call it they are told to go home and told in no uncertain circumstances that they will be banned from the site unless they play fair. In the US, most sites are all about the money, so they tend to be less stringent with enforcing rules, as they don't want to lose players. We have had a few players from here visit and play in the US, they all said it was as if American airsoft sites were ten years behind us, in fair gameplay.

@Stealingiscaring8 жыл бұрын
the pain of the BB hitting you will tell you that you are hit
@CrayonsYummyYummy8 жыл бұрын
Charles Xiong Ah so you still feel that with a ghillie suit? Guess it makes sense.
@JosephQPublic8 жыл бұрын
+iEat Crayons - Depends on the distance from which you are shot. Most of the time you can hear it. It's hard to feel the "pain" of the BB when you've got a ghillie on, so I'm not sure what the other guy is on about.
@Stealingiscaring8 жыл бұрын

No it's not. There are 10 or so bases scattered around the 1400 acres of forest that we use for airsoft, this one was built by a site marshal who was known as Noodles, a part of it resembled a bar, hence Noodles Bar.
