SCP 096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition.
SCP096 is normally extremely docile, with pressure sensors inside its cell indicating it spends most of the day pacing by the eastern wall. However, when someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP-096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face.

I’m not gonna lie, the stories told on this channel always carry such a weight to them, and honestly, I think the reason why is a mix of how their written, and gravitas of how they’re told. Like, despite discussing a mad scientist with intent to rule the world, you’re discussing it like you were delivering a presentation, but one where you’re genuinely trying to get your audience involved, if that makes any sense. Kinda like if someone gave a save the earth presentation and listed the ways the planet could get screwed if nothing is done. And honestly, this type of tone works well for an SCP channel, because it helps showcase how used to these anomalies Dr Bob is, and part of the reason he’s doing these videos, and telling these stories, is to warn viewers of what could happen if they’re not careful. It’s nice!

Interesting topic! Shy guy and a Sonic crossover is never something that has crossed my mind, and I feel that my brain has been blessed with such a concept. Edit: Also just imagine how the foundation initially reacted to 096's disappearance. So, there are thermal sensors in his "cage" so to speak, (please correct me if I am wrong!) So imagine, just one day, those sensors indicate that 096 has disappeared but without destruction occurring. (That is to say, if no destruction took place from being extracted from his original reality) Also, one more thing, If 096's face was seen in a different reality and 096 was returned to containment in his original reality without terminating the people who saw his face, just like in this situation, would 096 go back to his original state, or would he be stuck infinitely freaking out because he was unable to kill the people that have seen its face? I originally just commented thinking that this is a cool topic, which I still believe, but it really is making me think deeper into this! I know it's just a simple video on what would possibly happen if this happened to 096, but it just has me thinking now!

Well, when they showed 096's face to SCP-106, the Old Man went to his pocket universe before the Shy Guy could reach him in time. The Shy Guy stood there in the last spot the Old Man was in and waited. And waited. And waited. The moment SCP-106 returned to our universe, SCP-096 attacked him before he could escape and attempted to kill him for hours until he finally gave up.

The worst part about 096 is that if he cannot get to whichever poor soul had the bad luck to see his face, he'll keep getting more powerful until he is capable of reaching you. Not sure how travelling to a different dimension would work. Maybe the 096 there (if they exist in that dimension) would enrage too, and carry on with the hunt? Forgot to mention that 096 is practically immortal. He got blasted by the most powerful lightning bolt in the entire multiverse by scp 343 until nothing but some charred bones remained, and yet he still completely recovered in a matter of moments.

I'm impressed at this video and story.....and also dreading the final outcome. I grew up with Sonic cartoons and (the good) video games. I don't want them to lose.....but I also know how HARD it is to deal with O96. It's hard to find an effective way to make him a non-threat even for The Foundation, and he's *almost* impossible to kill. I'm not even sure sending him back to his home-dimension would be enough to stop him once someone's seen his face. It certainly doesn't stop some other SCPs. Even with their Mcguffin gemstones I don't see them winning.

Dr. Bob is very likely a storytelling SCL because I cannot count how many times I intended to stop watching his videos only to see the whole thing through to the end. It’s like… you CAN’T look away.
