SCP-4608 - Appleseed

SCP 4608 is a Neutralized Class anomaly also known as Appleseed.
SCP-4608 was a 60-acre apple orchard containing over 22,000 trees, located on the outskirts of Milan, Indiana. Engraved on approximately 75% of trees within SCP4608 were thaumaturgic sigils and symbols relating to occult Norse religions.
Instances of SCP-4608-1 were highly aggressive, displaying territorial and predatory behavior.
SCP-4608-2 was a large apple tree with 13 human faces imbedded in its periderm. These faces were capable of speech, though the language used is currently unidentified. SCP-4608-2 was found at the center of SCP-4608 and was hostile, using its roots as a means of manipulation.

@@Niapt There is: simply look at the minimalism of how the narrator started the topic, its posterior description, they now accurately portrayed the sense of dread of having something absurd in the middle of nowhere, simply out there, the MTFs were splendid though their internal conversation was a bit out of place. Ultimately the script was clustered in a way that it doesn't feel like a video at all, it captures the encyclopedic form of the website but the digestion is simply fluid without any constraints.

@13:40 apple trees are angioperms, not gymnosperms. Gymnosperms are seeds-producing plants with "naked" seeds (which includes conifers, cycads, and ginkos). Angiosperms are plants which produce seeds protected by a fruit & include all modern flowering plants (all fruits start as flowers)

This is one SCP that I'm glad to see gone. After all, if Johnny Appleseed saw that his beloved orchid which was meant to help people, became a place a death and danger, he would've been upset. The function of fruit is to make itself tasty enough for wildlife to want to eat it, and then go about their day, and the seeds appearing later in their excrement far enough away from its parent tree to hopefully sprout, and have a good dose of fertilizer to start it off with. That's the trade-off of fruits and animals that eat them. If a logging company came in with plans for that grove, they'd have had to be really smart about the environment and not just strip the area of logs and wood. Apple strains that old would have been incredibly valuable by today's standards, as there are dedicated people now, in real life, tracking down very old apple trees that are probably the last of their kind. Today's apples are planned crossbreeding, but the old apple trees, what you got was anybody's guess, and often no two trees would be alike. Quite often long-lost apple tree strains are found in someone's old backyard grubby apple tree they never pay any attention to, but has something in it worth gold. These had long been thought cleared away, but it was common as part of moving west to take a pack of apple seeds along with you, to plant in the places beyond the original thirteen states, so there's possibly quite a few old apple trees out there, waiting to be found, hopefully before someone carelessly cuts them down or it dies, leaving a legacy lost. Most of those trees are one of a kind, a hail from the old days. John Chapman (Johnny Appleseed) wasn't the only one who ever planted trees!

XD All jokes aside (I'm not your mother!), are there any fruits you do like, such as melons, oranges, cherries, or pineapple? You might just have eccentric taste buds; bite around to see what appeals to you. Jackfruit is in season now, or dragon fruit, or star fruit. Yellow watermelons (where the flesh is this delectable golden!) is to _die_ for. And if all else fails, remember that the famous 'ole tomato is technically a fruit, not a vegetable, and rub your parents' noses in that bit of knowledge. Personally, I enjoy most fruits, but there is a handful that most enjoy that just taste like wet nothing to me; bland as hell. Mangoes are included on that, as well as starfruit and kiwi. I don't like them. Kiwi is slimy to me too. I have a big problem with berries; I love them sooo much but if you gel them up to put them in pies, I can't stand them. Apple pie is included on this list, unless it is made from granny smith apples. They're tart so they're not as sweet. This is also why strawberry pie is the only berry pie I'll willingly eat. Strawberries are tart as well as sweet. I also prefer jams to jellies; not so much sugar! And I'll happily eat entire packages of cherry or berry tomatoes. Good luck talking your parents into the expense of wanting to 'bite around', though.
