One thing I find confusing about some of the stories is the mixing up of memetic and cognito hazards. Memetic means it becomes something you have always known and believe, affecting the mind and memory. Cognito means it affects the body in some way, being an effect on reality so strong, you think it, therefore it is. When the adaptive computer caused brain death, it was called cognito, which could be accepted, as it affected the body, even though it started in the mind. But, the Site Director saying his making everyone think he was benevolent being a cognito hazard... I'm fairly sure he meant memetic hazard. But, I could be wrong.
