so in summery the video is essentially covering how we have been looking at the ship the whole time, studying what we thought was essentially a derelict vessel wreckage, then we slowly realise its very much active and recuperating, and after multiple efforts of trying to destroy it with all the might we can physically muster, it sends us a message basically saying "target acquired" the fact we were its original target to begin with doesn't help either.........

Ah, the I love the smell of Cosmic horror in the morning. I mean it is quite a terrifying thought. An alien object resided for four hundred years in the solar system's largest planet, in its largest and most strongest storm. It has immense power, power enough to do thing thought impossible to us. But what's truly terrifying is that we know pretty little about it. I mean, why was it trying to come to earth? If it is hostile, can we stop it? If it's not hostile, is it forgiving? As H.P. Lovecraft said, "The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown"

Also, if the drones have the ability to warp objects through space time, that means that the main ship has to have some sort of warp drive built in. Granted, it might be a rudimentary and slower charging model, but I'd like to think that the aliens who built the thing spared no expense. So, if that is the case then the ship is not as old as you think. It could only, at maximum be 500-700 years old, depending on how advanced the warp drive technology is.

“The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and *strongest* kind of fear is fear of the unknown." -H.P. If hostile, well then these guys made the right choice to exterminate it. But if that thing was friendly/neutral before they fired the first shot, well, they may have just started a war with an *unknown* race that is far more advanced than us with *unknown* capabilities. To anyone that doesn't really care about this SCP: Keep in mind this was the SCP that annihilated the broken god. This is an excerpt I found from the broken god's entry: 00:01: Recording opens on a town. Many buildings are collapsed or engulfed in flames. There is significant seismic activity present. 00:03: Video pans to show SCP-001. Size is indiscernible in the video, but the entity takes up the entire frame. It is slowly moving forward. 00:09: SCP-001 is seen moving large amounts of earth into itself. Occasional flames erupt from within the entity. 00:15: Air raid sirens become audible as the sky lights up, as if by lightning. The clouds directly over SCP-001 part momentarily. SCP-2399 is visible, its underside slightly damaged. Foundation mortar fire is seen passing overhead. 00:20: One such mortar strikes SCP-001. No damage is visible. 00:22: The underside of SCP-2399 is glowing blue. 00:24: A bright beam of light erupts from SCP-2399 and strikes SCP-001. SCP-001 violently reacts and reaches towards SCP-2399. 00:26: There is an explosion. Nothing can be seen on video. 00:30: As nearby people scream, video ends.

The Foundation is honestly kind of stupid if they don't use any of the Thaumiels at their disposal to try and kill this thing. But honestly, one should take solace in the fact that this thing, despite the inconceivable intelligence and energy and power it takes to merely exist, made a mistake and crashed into Jupiter. The main reason that's significant is that it proves that it's not infallible. It's prone to making mistakes.
