Interesting cue card seen during the credits (from about 20:50-55 and 21:11 onward): "...And now, let's meet the 3 new contestants who'll be playing Part 2 of Swap Meet!" Swap Meet was one of several game shows NBC was looking at for possible debut in '93, being described as "similar to The Price Is Right" (Source: "Broadcasting" 10/5/92, Page 26). It ended up not selling, which makes the presence of a cue card from it on Scrabble a bit odd. On a side note, for whatever reason the show fades out late in the credits. Compared to another copy of this episode on KZbin (albeit one that's in much lower quality), the last ~10 seconds of the episode are missing from this version.

Cue cards get recycled as much as possible to save money. They had probably taped the Swap Meet pilot earlier (possibly also in Studio 11) and wrote a Scrabble cue card on the back of a Swap Meet cue card. What I'd like to know: Why is the first shot of the kids in black-and-white? In the low quality post of this episode, it looked like it might be a tape drop-out or bad lighting, but here you can clearly see it's part of the episode as aired.

I’ve been watching Scrabble since I was a little kid living on the other side of Cincinnati, Ohio in the suburbs of Mount Healthy

For some reason, I don't remember this as being the finale. For the finale I recall, the jackpot was something absurd, like $20,000, and Chuck makes it very clear that it's the last episode and if the jackpot isn't won (it wasn't), the crew was gonna split the money or something like that. Am I nuts?

On the finale of the original run, the jackpot was at $6,000 and he said if it wasn't won it would carryover and "go into someone else's pocket."

It's a six-letter word. The clue is: the fate of Scrabble '93. (audience) FINALE! (cheers and applause) This should have continued with "Scattergories", "Caesar's Challenge", "Classic Concentration", and "Family Secrets".

"Classic Concentration" was canceled in 1991 and had been in reruns for 2 years by the time NBC dropped it from the daytime schedule.
