I really enjoyed when Jay Stewart did the voiceover for the show. It’s such a shame he took his life.

It's interesting to me how drastically they changed the game throughout it's run.

As you try things out, there's nothing wrong with a show evolving. Most of the changes seemed to be for the better on this show.

@@wschmrdr One of the changes they had was the production company cheapened the payouts in early 1985, where 5 Sprint wins netted an additional $20,000 bonus became 5 Sprint wins augmented to a flat $20,000, with 10 Sprint wins went from over $55,000 to a flat $40,000, well the tournaments they had made up for the cheapened payouts, where they brought back players who won at least 5 Sprint rounds.

If there is one thing I miss about the USA Network reruns of this show (and The $25,000 Pyramid), it is the altered contestant and ticket plugs, which blur the original phone number and replace it with the disclaimer reading "Phone Number Not Active."

So glad they changed the champion format... Hated this version
