I love this series. Soooo darn helpful. I'd love to see one done on Swampert. With how broken and common he is. Having an optimal IV spread could be the difference between a win and loss.

I'm really struggling with the Toxicroak ivs in Ultra League as I've collected the candy to build one now. It's confusing, because some of the bulkier Toxicroaks will drop match-ups. One that you lose if you're too bulky is the Escavilier one shield. Very hard to figure out which Toxicroak to build now :(

I calculated UL Scrafty on PVPoke myself and found that 147 hp is enough for mirror match. May I ask how you got the 148 hp outcome?

I'm going for max consistency, so it accounts for PuP hitting for 20 vs some opponents. Ex. pvpoke.com/battle/2500/scrafty-48.5-15-8-14-4-4-1-1/scrafty-49.5-12-12-14-4-4-1-1/11/0-2-3/0-2-3/

@@SwagTips Got it! So the key point is the def too low to reach the BP of PuP right? Don't have to worry about the mirror match if my 147 hp Scrafty has a decent def.

Thanks for the great content SwagMan. Do you have any IV preferences for Araquanid? Consider doing a deep-dive for it sometime, as I’m sure plenty of people would be interested to know your thoughts. Also, I have a 13/5/5 Scraggy that just missed the defense by one point too much. Sad, but I’ll stick to my mediocre Scrafty instead.

Can somebody explain what he means by "the best buddy slot is contested". Can you only have one of those? I thought best buddy-ing a pokemon just gives it a single level so if it is 40 it goes to 41 or 50 to 51 etc.

You need to equip your buddy for the boost and you can only have one

1. You can only have one per team, because it needs to be your buddy to get the CP boost. 2. "The best buddy slot is contested" basically means the following: why wasting your time best buddy-ing Scrafty to reach level 51 when a level 50 or lower has the same functionality, it's better to invest that time best buddy-ing other mons that needs that boost, like G-Stunfisk, Mandibuzz, etc. Hope that helps, sorry for the bad english.

I haven't powered-up a Scrafty for Ultra League yet. However, I have collected enough xl Candies now. I have a Rank 1 (9/15/15). But, I tend to take the 11/13/15, as it has more Attack and can be powered up until Level 49,5. Any thoughts on that?

@SwagTips I need help understanding power up punch. If my medicham's attack is 106.40 and I use power up punch will my attack go to 133.00 or will it go to 107.73? If my medicham uses power up punch twice and my attck was 106.40 what will my new attack be? If I cmp tie with another another medicham (with the same IV's) will the power up punch attack increase help me win the cmp tie?

I powered up my 14/14/15 scrafty in ultra league. It quickly became one of the most clutch investments I ever made. Now that I think of it though when I’ve went up against mirror scrafty’s it gets very dicey with similar energy. But other than that it really puts in the work.

The Rank 1 is fantastic. What I meant was you don't need to hold out for it if you don't have it, as many other Scrafty are functionally similar.

Scrafty is crafty in the GBL the IV’s I use is a 15-15-15 i know it’s not GBL stat IV’s but it works well and it got me to ELO-2306 that’s the highest I have gotten so far wish me luck 🍀

Scrafty is only good when you win the match up. It is complete garbage in Great League, plan and simple. It is a useless Pokémon. It’s Foul Play even with a power up punch boost does not ko most Pokémon in Great League, it loses most charge moves priority situation, if not every situation. Do not waste dust, time or effort on this Pokesmom.
