It would not surprise me to see technology like this giving false positives and I’m glad you’re willing to help other honest people that are in the same situation as your self. Thanks Jay, it has been interesting to say the least. When I created this long, unplanned, awkward video, I was just trying to show my local Scram office that I knew without any doubt what was going on. I never thought thousands of people would watch the video. Since the video went up a few years ago I have spoken with hundreds who live this nightmare. My goal was to have a few things changed so that innocent people are not as likely to fall victim to a grossly disingenuous organization. Scram has the publics lack of interest, and their willingness to lie, cover up and play ignorant even in court working to their advantage. My little idea to help a few people out has turned into a full time job. The past several months have been very busy but worth while as I've been able to assist with the laborious task of showing exactly how the Scram data can not, should not and was never intended to have the ability to offer quantitative results as to alcohol consumption vs. environmental interferants that look very similar or even identical to actual consumption . The past several months has been rewarding as I am seeing more and more cases turn out as they should. There is still much more work ahead. The goal and what I am asking is to have it be mandatory for the client to be notified within 12 hours of an alert of possible consumption, and prior to beginning the scram monitoring, independent labs be identified that the subject would go to for a confirmation test that the courts would have already determine that was approved to be sufficient for the determination of consumption vs. no consumption. It took me over 1000 -hours of research to identify how to prove my points and successfully argue Scrams nonsense in a legal matter. That isn't fair to the people wearing it with no help in defending the violation besides me. (I work in finance not toxicology, go figure lol)

I was just reflecting on my time on SCRAM since I came off a year ago. I was on it for 3 months and was extended after a false positive so ended up doing a total of 7 months. I did a hair follicle test (ETG) which helped my case when I went to court but they still wouldn’t admit it was wrong since I definitely didn’t drink. The system is meant to keep you in the cycle of probation, incarceration, and financial hardship. Being on the alcohol monitor and probation definitely helped me so I have to give it that. I’ve been sober for almost 2 years now and I don’t think I would have my life back if I didn’t go through that horrible experience. If you’re going through it I’m praying for you. Stay strong!!

This just happened to me they said it registered a .025 and a tamper alert the A$$ holes didn’t tell me til 2weeks later instead of immediately cuz now I can’t do an ETG or a pbt or blood test im looking around to find a nail ETG right now. Have to report to jail tomorrow because the scram said i was drinking when i wasnt. Been blowing zeros into the interlock device in my car while the scram is testing positive and they still wont believe me. This is sickening and like a nightmare. My probation was extended for a year and the judge said she could put me in jail for 6 months if i continue testing positive. Havent had a single sip of alcohol, this is crazy!

This just recently happened to me. The last time I drank alcohol was in 2014, I accepted full responsibility for that mistake and will never live down that shame. I agreed to 5 years probation and was set to be released January 2020. To make a long story short, me and my wife gf now wife (2012 to date)regained custody of my kids in 2017 from their mother. Jan 2020 i was extended 6 months probation due to unpaid fees, I had 0 violations, 0 positive blow machine tests which I took 3 times daily from 2014 to January 2020. The machine was locked because I was behind on fees and they would only unlock with full payment. I was jailed and violated for missing blow tests from that period. Bonded out and went to court in March 2021 and was offered 1 year extension set to end in July 2021 and 3 months on scram. False positive and now another year on probation after paying 2500 that I can't afford. Thats just the tip of how my mistake has burdened my family.

Smh!!!! This is the 3 time ive been on scram and the 3rd time i got hit with a violation! I admit i do have a drinking problem but i have never consumed alcohol while on the scram. I just got a warrent for my arrest for doing absolutely nothing and this video gave me hope and made me feel like its just not happening to me but alot of other people. I’m in the same situation. Just received a call that I consumed alcohol when I never did. Just had the filter replaced after 8 months of having it on. The lady says there seems to be water on the inside which leads me to be believe this is a failure point here. Looks like I’m in for a battle now with the court.

I've found the device just reports what it reads. It's the employees who read the graphs who make a determination as to if it was alcohol in the sweat or something in the environment. It's bogus and often arbitrary.

I’m on pretrial services. I’m on the scram. I don’t know how long I have to be on it. I’m assuming until I have my actual trial. so far it’s been four months and today they told me three weeks ago that my bracelet alerted them that I was drinking between the hours of 1 to 7 AM which is false I was sleep I didn’t have any type of liquid system not even water I haven’t had a sip of liquor since my arrest and I live at home and have an alibi that I was sleep, but I don’t wanna hear any of that. Thank you for your help! I just had a false reporting test from last week. Thankfully I take weekly urine screens as well that include ETG so I am going to submit that information to the court. I was also extremely frustrated with this situation and glad to know I’m not alone. I definitely did not consume alcohol so I’m hoping the ETG tests will be sufficient proof. Thank you for taking the time to help others through your experience. The CAM monitor and probation helped get me to a place where I’m fully invested in my recover and I just passed 30 days and going strong. Nice to know there are good people out there doing this work.
