Scrap-book idea book.

This flip through shows some of the different ways to use scraps and off-cuts in your junk journals. With the exception of the page based, all pieces in the journal were made from scraps. Because it’s an idea book each page houses an idea or way to use scraps and it’s quite chunky. I hope this gives you an idea or two on ways to diminish your scrap pile. This video is not intended fir children.

Yay! You honestly made a “REAL JUNK JOURNAL”!!! That is how they were to be done like yours. This is so well done! You are amazing! Whoever started the junk journal craze, it was switched up, turned upside down backwards in no time. It was disappointing to see it switched so fast! My mom was making them in 2000 in the scrapbook stores, in the classroom. At first called “altered books” when using books. But the altered books and junk journals was one of the reasons mom and pop stores future sealed their fate of their own business, besides the big box stores coming out with coupons and sales for the same things! That junk journal is GORGEOUS! Beautifully decorated, a lot of time went into that. It’s helped me to see ideas! I never seen you before! I am now a new subbie! 🤗I have to see if you have more videos-if not? Get a crack a lackin!!! I loved this video! Darn right! So far this has been my fav video. I like how most of the paper you use is coffee dyed paper. Not much patterned paper. This is what makes all your scraps go well together. I’m barely trying to destash all my scraps that are mostly patterned paper. I have so much that I’ll never finish it. I bought it when I was scrapbooking which I don’t do anymore. For the past ten years it’s been mostly making journals with just stamped card stock that I make or Kraft paper. Really enjoy watching your videos!

I really would love one of these books. This is all I work with is normal paper. I do not have a printer and live in a rural area so no big box stores! You have become my new best crafter!

Thank you Cari. A lot of what I use are older supplies, but most of the newer items were purchased online. Amazon, Simon Says Stamp and Scrapbook.com are all great resources for craft items that span several categories. I think a key is figuring out which tools and items you need to help you create the look you prefer.

I love your idea book. I started one for my self also. So I would have samples of the dies, or punches I have. Some I left basic and some I embellished. It is such a great idea due to my hoarding capabilities or forgetting what tools I have available. Wow what a gift.

Steal away sweet lady! And, because these scraps were from my coffee-dyed bag, I used coffee dyed tracing paper behind the lace. If I was using white lace pieces, I’d use regular colored tracing paper. Double win :)
